| News Comment | Town Confirm Hladky Signing at 20:16:34
Very happy with this. Looked good in the Salford documentary. I would have no problem with Hladky being our No1 with Holy remaining as back up. I'm sure they'll become great Czech mates. |
| News Comment | Backdated Ban For Referee Drysdale at 21:36:05
I'm not buying this. Drysdale states it is the worst abuse he has suffered as a ref yet he only booked Judge for simulation yet Downed got sent off for his comments. Why on earth would you then apologise to someone who has called you a cheat and dropped the C Bomb? I've no doubt there was some abuse from Judge, which I don't condone but I can't help thinking that the ref has exaggerated it to justify his actions. If it hadn't been for our wonderful former manager making a big deal of it to deflect from what was a woeful performance, it probably wouldn't have come to this. As it is boththe ref and Judge now have question marks against their characters. |
| News Comment | Gibbs and Cornell Handed League Debuts Against Charlton at 15:09:49
I think it is now clear that Lambert and Dobra have fallen out. If Dobro can't get in the 18 at the moment when we have so many injuries then I don't expect we'll see him until Lambert goes, which will hopefully be sooner rather than later. |
| News Comment | Blues Face Fine as Young XI Face Gills at 19:28:06
Why did Lambert play almost a full strength team against the Arsenal kids but has now gone to the other extreme? I'm fine with the first team regulars being rested but Huws, Jackson, Bennetts, Kenlock & Judge have all played very little if at all in the last few weeks & would have benefited from a game. I think a few older heads would also have benefited the kids that play otherwise it will just feel like an U23 game for them. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-0 Wycombe Wanderers - Match Report at 22:50:44
Tonight's match was originally scheduled for 12 October but was called off due to international call-ups. At that time we had just won 5 on the spin and we were 11 unbeaten. Oh yeah and KVY was consistently our best player. On to tonight and KVY is injured and our form has been patchy. But hey at least we could call upon our internationals Dozzell, Judge, Georgiou, Downes, El Mizouni & Dobra. How many of them played tonight? None. Just saying. |
| News Comment | Peterborough United 2-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:50:36
Fair result today. Solid start to the campaign given that we have played 3 of the better teams in the league. Full-backs are a real concern though. We've got Vincent -Young to come in at right back but I think we need a left back as well. Peterborough's left back Blake-Tracy looked a class above Kenlock and he was playing for Lowestoft a couple of years ago! Do we not have any scouts anymore? |
| News Comment | Warburton Moves on From Judge and Signs Pugh at 01:32:01
Sounds promising. However I'll still be holding my breath until the Championship transfer window shuts on 8th August. Don't think Lambert would have made public Judge's desire for the opportunity unless he thought the transfer was imminent but plenty of players have expressed a desire to leave but then performed well and been adored by the fans when the move has fallen through. De Gea to Real Madrid a few years ago is one that springs to mind. Judge's performance in 45 mins today with no pre season shows how crucial he will be to our promotion ambitions & I think whilst he may be disappointed not to get the opportunity (that could not be foreseen when he signed his contract in April) to work with a manager he is familiar with at a higher level, I get the feeling that he will put it behind him and be a key player in our promotion push. If we can keep him & he stays fit I guarantee he will make the league 1 team of the season. Let's hope that for once Evans looks at the bigger picture and stays strong. |
| News Comment | Nydam Facing Six Months Out at 21:34:54
Adeyemi, Huws, Dozzell, Bishop, Ward, Walters, Sears, Folami, Morris, Nydam. All have suffered serious long term injuries in the last 2 years. I can't believe any of the other 91 league clubs have suffered such wretched luck. Best wishes to all those who are still on the long road to recovery. Keep the faith folks - our luck must change soon. |
