Colchester Confirm Chambers Signing
at 20:46:46

Between managers you carried the club and helped with each transition probably at the detriment of your own performances and stopped you moving a couple of years ago when your career probably would have benefited from a change. Thank you for everything you have done for the club, and everything done in the background that went unnoticed. This is a great move that will help you in the right direction to future coaching or management positions. Good Luck and all the very best in your future ventures.

Edwards Signs for Wigan
at 18:34:11

I wish him well at Wigan but think he might get a rude awakening regarding the training and fitness requirements as Leam and Paul Cook are on the same lines. Will be watching how all of our departures get on next season, will they be re-energised by their moves I wonder?

Bishop and Smallwood Linked
at 10:17:39

Nice to have so many links, obviously we have money so every agent is doing their best to try and a slice of the pie. For once we are not hearing "we've got to get someone out before getting someone in" as they have already gone or will be shipped out in the summer. Wonder if we will have a 'big name' signing to get the ball rolling once the window is open.

Cambridge Eyeing Bishop
at 10:13:53

We got more games out of Bishop and Dozzell last season than we have in the last 3/4 years. Clubs are looking at them but I wonder if Paul Cook will have another look at them during pre-season training to see if they have upped their game and fitness before letting them move on. If Bish does end up at Cambridge he will probably have a successful and injury free season like McGoldrick when he went to Sheff U.

Bradley Set to Stay at Luton

Lets face it some players have gone but we will not be recruiting anyone until Ashton arrives. Until then it is just rumours but this one did one seem a good fit.

Speculation on Town's Available Players Gets Under Way
at 10:47:50

I wonder if this is the final kick up the backside from Paul, leaving these players to have a long hard think about their attitude and fitness over the summer break in order to change their mindset and whether they still want to play for shirt/Town. After an almost injury free season I would expect to see Dozzell kick on next season, if it is his time to move on then so be it. Wolf says he has underperformed, so I would expect much better from him next season and Downes has already expressed a desire to be away from us and Palace may be his destination.

Town Move on Cards For Robins Head of Performance
at 14:23:45

Seeing all of the possible appointments really does hit home how the clubs infrastructure had been stripped out in order to keep costs down to a minimum. In Paul Cook's words the players are not fit, so it looks like this situation and position is being addressed (hopefully).

Cook: The Injury Situation at This Club's Not Been Great Over a Period of Time
at 10:43:52

Disappointed that Emyr hasnt turned out to be the player we though we were signing but I should imagine he is a big wage earner at the club so makes sense he moves on.

Cook: Switching to Two Up Front Changes Whole Ethos of Your Team
at 10:51:59

Paul Cook has had a whole week with the squad, getting his ideas across and what he expects. Over 30 years of watching Town I have always felt we were better with 2 up front and attacking full backs but if Paul can get blood out of a stone with our current team and get us playing well and scoring goals and getting into the play-offs then I am willing to change my mind. In our clubs history we have only got promoted by being Champions or via the playoffs, since we are too far adrift to challenge for the title, I say Play offs and GO FOR IT TOWN.

Salary Cap Scrapped

I am pleased with this as I could see quite a few professionals over a certain age being unable to find a club next season given the salary cap limitations.

Lambert: The Negativity Attached to the Club is Huge
at 08:41:34

Even the opposition managers and press find Lamberts post match comments delusional so why have a go at the local ones you worked so hard with to get on board to help rebuild the relationship with the fans is beyond me. My frustration is that we see managers and teams with far less resources than us produce top 6 or even promotion winning sides, while we struggle to compete with any side in the top 6. Long term injuries with Huws and Bishop have now been replaced with two newer signings of KVY and Norwood so we have a lot of flawed things in our set up. I do wonder what Burley, Wark, Butcher and Brazil make of the current situation.

Evans: Town Knew They Had a Battering, the Best Side Lost
at 12:07:04

Cakeman, totally agree with you but at one stage Warnock liked to wind up the Town fans. Warnock is a good manager and gets teams up, don't think he was available at the time we picked up Lambert!

I think this is a good acquisition and will probably mean we have enough in the budget to get 1 or 2 more players in to cover Centre back and Centre Forward.

Town Launch New Home Kit

Apologies, having been up in my loft and found my 1985 home and away shirts the badge didn't change (43 season dementia has set in I am afraid). LOVE the new shirt and will buy it. Perhaps we can go back to pinstrips the year after next.

Town Launch New Home Kit
at 15:00:42

Our badge changed format back in 1984-85 when we introduced red into our colour scheme. This was part of the deal when taking the adidas France national kit at the time which had a red band and three white stripes below it. Eventually we filled the red band with a Sponsor - Radio Orwell.
