Ipswich away form so far this season.

It is more what he does not do, opposition managers change formation or tactics and Paul Cooke does not, even when it is not working for Town.

Phil...two questions I would like you to ask Cook
at 18:49 24 Nov 2021

It looked more 4 - 2 - 2 - 2, with no supply to them, the midfield seem to not support the defence or striker, it looks a dis-organised mess to me and very easy to defend against.

I have just see the first goal on tv and yes, Walton left a large gap on his left, he took a step to the right just before the guy hit it, made it an easy goal with a big target to aim at. My question would be how many more games are we going to see Bonne marked by two defenders, one in front and one behind, then a third who picks up the second ball. It has happened for some time and makes life very easy for defenders, think scouts are watching and seeing how easy it is to stop Bonne. I can see Bonne being recalled back to QPR and loaned out to someone else during the transfer window.

When you hear "Oh Nooo" Town have usually scored.

Fan Zone
at 17:24 14 Nov 2021

Further to my thread below, I would recommend a visit to Fan zone, ex-players, players, entertainment and general atmosphere, as well as the obvious part that the owners are doing their part in putting money into the club, so we fans should do our part and support their efforts by putting our money into the club. I enjoy it anyway.

An alternative view, went to the fanzone before the game had a very nice pint of Greene King London Glory, there was a second bar open so no queuing which was good to see, the girl singing to backing tracks had a great voice and felt for her as it was drizzly and wet so did not get the crowd she deserved, Matt Holland was in good form there as well, he has not aged at all! I went in the ground early and was impressed with the extended warm up/stretching routine, I hope this will have a positive effect in preventing injuries. The fitness coach needs to keep an eye on Bailey Clements here, he was noticeably putting far less effort into it than all the others. On to the game and Bailey caught the eye again for a fantastic performance against a very good player in Sykes, it was a good team performance and a shame we could not get a winner. I enjoyed the game, it was the best 0 - 0 for some time.

So I've been giving this Time wasting stuff some thought..
at 12:33 14 Nov 2021

It is an integral part of the game and accepted as normal for any team winning or struggling to hold on for a point, just the same a diving, feigning injury and claiming a decision when they know they put the ball out. This has somehow become not cheating and is an important part of modern football skills that young players have to learn and be proficient at.

Time for Lee Evans to drop out the team
at 12:06 14 Nov 2021

Edit. My MOM. Yesterday Lee Evans played the deep defensive midfielder role and Morsy defended on the halfway line, this broke up Oxfords creative midfield, I didn't notice when this happened but it was the major part of why Oxford were so ineffective against us second half but were all over us for the first 20 - 30 minutes. He was vital yesterday.

I should have made it clear, this was immediately before first lockdown.

Pre first lockdown a work colleague went on a photography trip to Deli, from his 7th floor hotel window he could not see the ground! Yes India has a huge pollution problem.

Some individual player observations from yesterday
at 10:36 14 Nov 2021

Agree with most of that as well and likewise I thought that Town only having two shots on target the entire game despite dominating the second half, was not good enough, rarely was there more than one or two players in the box, we were set up not to lose rather than go and win the game, or am I missing the very good defending of Oxford. Second half with Evans in front of the back four and Morsy on the half way line, both doing a great job of breaking up play. But this meant that Bonne was marked by two or three defenders all game and needed help in the box, which opens the question why leave it to two or three minutes before bringing on Pigott? Referees rarely add much time on for injury time substitutions and "injuries" their goalkeeper faining cramp as well.

Its obvious Clubs are so aware of the refs...

Not for cramp like the ref did today then.

I always look at the rolling 7 day average figure rather than an individual days figure, it smooth's out reporting inaccuracies. Agree it is good to see the infection rate in the low 30K's rather than low 40K's.

Four weeks ago the death rate was 130, three weeks ago it was 140, two weeks ago it was 161 today it was 166 (rolling 7 day average death rate on each day) so how is that a falling death rate?

Last Tuesday the 7 day average death rate was 161, today it is up to 166, so far this month 1492 people have died from Covid. Get the vaccine and wear a mask, Christmas lockdown is looking a real possibility, the news and outlook is not great.

Stunning hypocrisy
at 09:54 4 Nov 2021

It is as if Greta Thunberg thought of Boris Johnson when coming up with the sound bite "blar blar, blar. This is exactly what he does all the time, make a speech and do the opposite or know what he is saying is complete rubbish.

I forgot that, what a stupid mistake that was by Wycombe, we were shockingly poor in September.

Strangely we looked stronger after the Coulson / Burgess substitution, because Coulson was not playing badly at all. Loved the miss kicked clearances and the equally miss kicked shots in the Town box midway through the first half, hilarious stuff.
