But in our successful start to the season there was little or no rotation throughout the team. Walton, JD, Woolfy, GE, Davis, Morsy, Evans, Wes, CC, Harness and Freddie. They were then supplemented by some energy off the subs bench in the second half. Surely during that period he must have seen the benefit of having a settled side wherever possible. |

Yes the problems with Lambert started when he decided that rotation was a good thing because he’d seen Pep etc do it. |

Last season our excellent defensive record after McKenna arrived was based on JD, Woolfy, Edmundsen and Thompson ie 4 defenders. Now we have the two centre backs with marauding full backs either side and on Saturday not even a defensive midfielder. I think KM needs to find a balance between the two. Ball being injured doesn’t help. |

Of yesterdays starting line up only 3 were brought in permanently by Cook plus Walton on loan. Plus just Aluko off the bench. That perhaps tells us what the current regime think of Cook’s signings. |

Agree with all that. Freddie doesn’t seem able to pick up the pace of the game when he comes on. I’d also be considering Leigh instead of JD. |

This is not a new phenomenon, we have never handled big/pressure games in our history. 3 FA Cup semi finals won 1 lost 2, 4 League Cup semi finals won 0 lost 4 and 8 Play off semi finals won 1 lost 7. It’s in the Clubs DNA I’m afraid. |
