Programmes
at 18:32 29 Jan 2023

I have a box of programmes, home and away, from the seventies and early eighties which I am disposing. There are also quite a few odd programmes like Liverpool v Leeds, and England v N. Ireland (at Goodison Park) from when I lived in Manchester in the seventies, and even a Cambridge University v Oxford University one - a game I don't recall and I certainly didn't go to either university.
They are in good condition having been kept dry and out of light since I stopped collecting them
I don't want money for them and if no-one wants them they will go into my blue bin for recycling as part of my attempts at decluttering.
If you are interested post on here and I will reply with contact details

Perhaps some fans need to listen to our manager and back him

I'm afraid the gloss is fading from Mr Kieran Paul Mckenna. Case of same old - with a bunch of good league 1 players he has got them playing some neat football but with the same old nonsense of one up front, whether it's Ladapo or Jackson it's never going to work, I thought the club had got that with Hurst Lambert and Cook guilty of the same tactics! Why on earth didn't he keep Jackson on with Ladapo against ten men Lincoln? Probably worried they might break away and score a goal (!) well how about us scoring a few instead!

How about a change of tactics?
at 19:05 16 Apr 2022

Didn't go,watch or listen so no opinion on today but one up front didn't work for McCarthy, Hurst, Lambert and Cook and it seems to me to be a fixation with a lot of coaches. Maybe the manuals should be revised? Bringing on an 'extra' striker when the game is lost does not prove for or against. What is certain is that we do not have the quality of players that can make one up front work, so either drop it or get someone who can score goals.

Reality Check...........
at 11:43 3 Apr 2022

Personally I'm glad we won't make the play-offs, I loath the system and now KM can really experiment and use these last few games to give some of the younger players a chance, up front in particular, and try out some fresh tactics rather than the sterile 'one up front' that has consigned us to the third division again. I'm looking forward to Shrewsbury, Wigan, Crewe & Charlton (can't make Rotherham) to see what he has in store for next season.

Anyone that thought a new 11 would click instantly is deluded

Listening on the radio (yes I've given up travelling to watch them - and it's no longer 'us' I'm afraid) I struggled to know who was playing for whom, that is Cook's contribution so far - as for gelling it took Sir Bobby three seasons to get rid of the old dead wood and 'grow' a new team. It was one or two at a time, not 10,11,12,13, 14,.......and counting. It's bonkers.

Phil Griffin: "I was a big fan of Yankee football in the 80s and 90s. Never forgot seeing Robert Irsay moving the Baltimore Colts lock stock and barrel to Indianapolis in lorries overnight. He told fans of the team - it’s not your team. It’s my team. Mine and my family’s. He even took the light bulbs.

ITFC commentary
at 18:31 23 Feb 2021

Anyone else getting really fed up (moderated language here) with Brennan Woolley's Doom & Gloom on BBC? While watching on the telly the last four miserable games I've switched him off and felt much better about it. Maybe he should show a bit more enthusiasm for ITFC rather than just criticising us and waxing lyrical about the opposition (not that it's not well founded) especially when you're watching, afterwards maybe?
