 | Forum Thread | Injuries | What could have been ... at 15:15 28 Feb 2025
I know it's part of the game but with news that Omari will now also miss time, I cant help but feel in a season where everything needed to go right, we have really been hurt by longer term injuries and at key times. Tuanzebe missing just as we started to pick up some momentum in the first part of the year, Greaves after a great start, Ogbene before he had got going, Burns when we had no real ability to replace him, Hirst leaving us with no ability to hurt teams off the bench for a decent chunk, Chappers after great performances vs Wolves/ Bournemouth, Szmodics after a great performance at Fulham ... I could go on! [Post edited 28 Feb 16:21]

 | Forum Thread | Our worst performance of the season .. at 21:30 26 Feb 2025
Three set-piece goals conceded, 2 flukey goals scored, nothing really created against 10 or 11 men. Showcases the gulf in class but our ability to defend the box and play simple passes second half has been nothing short of completely pathetic. We seem to be getting worse as the season goes on! |
 | Forum Thread | ***IF we go down, how do we feel about Jack Taylor starting CH games? at 09:36 25 Feb 2025
I think JT can be really happy with his progress over the last 18 months. Has rightfully been beyond Mass and Jens starting just 8 league games. However, with plenty of talk around midfield upgrades this summer, I wondered where most stood on him next season **IF we do drop. You'd have thought he'd be pushing very hard to start. Would you be happy if he was starting most games alongside Morsy? |
 | Forum Thread | Delighted for Harry Clarke at 08:40 13 Feb 2025
Seemingly walked into the first XI of the second best team in the division and put together three really good performances. Hopefully it's another hugely positive step in his development and whatever happens, he can have a really strong impact with us next season regardless of division. |
 | Forum Thread | Coventry - Played last night & play on Tuesday at 11:04 6 Feb 2025
Hadn't realised they played Leeds last night! Near enough a guarantee they will heavily rotate with three games in six days. Huge opportunity for us to progress even with a changed side .. |
 | Forum Thread | Regularity of Muric Errors ... at 11:44 2 Feb 2025
I'm desperate for him to do well and I'd love for him to come good but I just cannot see it with the regularity of the errors .... In the last 6 games he's started, 4 of them have seen him drop absolute clangers .. Bournemouth - Flys out to the edge of the box to gift them a goal Newcastle - Passes it straight to Isak to gift a goal Bristol Rovers - Passes it straight to their player who should have scored S'oton - First goal is a shocker of an attempt, second is a really poor save It's completely unsustainable for any team. Yes we don't score enough goals but the regularity of the errors gives us no chance at all. [Post edited 2 Feb 11:45]

 | Forum Thread | The mysterious case of Latte-Lath ... at 13:29 31 Jan 2025
I for one an completely puzzled by the whole Latte-Lath saga .. Given that we have continually followed targets I find it very strange that we bid what we bid in September and haven't followed up at all this window. What changed? Did we spend the money of Philogene? This window he looked for all money to be heading to the MLS with a bid accepted but he's still yet to accept? Presumably thinks he might get a Prem move in the next 3 days? |
 | Forum Thread | Sky Sports News guess work ... at 10:47 28 Jan 2025
There was a time not so long ago that Sky Sports were the beacon of transfer news and information. No we get a panel of 'transfer experts' who are just content creators and reporting that might as well have just been a summary of a few of the threads on here. |
 | Forum Thread | Could the first half have gone worse .. at 15:48 25 Jan 2025
Burns out for an extended period of time and three terrible goals with bad errors. Phillips for the first, Davis for the second, Tuanzebe for the third. Game is hard enough without these ridiculous lapses in concentration. |
 | Forum Thread | Adebayo/ Morris possible candidates? at 15:46 24 Jan 2025
With Luton being credibly linked to Wycombe's Kone, that would take them to 5 centre forwards for one position up top. Whilst neither have had the greatest seasons in the world, they both scored 10+ goals last year in the Prem. Surely with the position Luton find themselves in we could get a fairly decent price and an upgrade on AAH. I suspect the club are aiming higher but both could be sensible options for between 5/10M. |
 | Forum Thread | If AAH goes, I can't see how we wouldn't get another 9 in ... at 11:38 24 Jan 2025
For all the KMc said yesterday, I can't really believe that we would let AAH go without being fully confident that we can get a replacement in. Delap is three yellow cards off a two match ban and George Hirst has played 14 games in the last 12 months. If we lose either we will struggle and if we lost both we might as well pack it in. |
 | Forum Thread | Club keen to sell rather than loan out Ali .. at 16:57 22 Jan 2025
A PSR move or just happy to cut their losses? I for one never thought we would be selling him now but it's tough to argue he looks capable of being part of a PL squad or even high level promotion chasing Champ squad. |
 | Forum Thread | Town at fault for Ali deal collapse? at 08:56 22 Jan 2025
Can only presume the replacement striker target we were pushing for suddenly fell through and subsequently the Ali deal got pulled? I really hope we can get him out in the next 10 days. Having a 22YO striker low on confidence sit around will be a real wasted 5 months for him and us. |
 | Forum Thread | Striker dominoes ... at 10:29 21 Jan 2025
21 days into the window and not one Premier League club has got a striker in. On top of that across all Championship clubs just two have signed strikers (Barnes & Brereton-Diaz) .. We've been linked to Iheanacho but it's horribly quiet .. When are the dominoes going to fall?! Surely we can't run those three back for the second half of the season. |
 | Forum Thread | Phillips vs Morsy at 20:13 17 Jan 2025
I think Kalvin Phillips is a perfectly fine Premier League squad player but I think last night showed again that we miss Morsy when he doesn't play. Every time Morsy receives the ball off the back 4, he's looking to get on the half turn and play forward into the two 10's. The opposite is true of Kalvin, he's consistently happy just to pop the ball sideways or backwards and that is entirely ineffective when playing against a high press. I think it was a big reason why or attacking return was so poor last night. We need CM's who can drive us forward and both Morsy & Cajuste do that. |

It's exciting to have one potential England international .. now we're only one player off having the front four of the U21's! Just McAtee left now ... [Post edited 8 Jan 23:32]

 | Forum Thread | O'Shea, Woolf & Greaves at 19:32 5 Jan 2025
All of them very good once again. Just the one goal conceded in open play in three games and really only two good chances conceded to Fulham today (Smith-Rowe & Jimenez header). So disappointing to concede two really poor pens today but it's another good lesson and it feels like we're getting better and better. |
 | Forum Thread | Delap - Stupid Yellows at 11:30 31 Dec 2024
He's our best player, our most valuable player and part of what makes him so effective is how combative he is, but I wish the he would get rid of the stupid yellow cards ... Another one last night for I think kicking the ball away? ... the one at Wolves after the final whistle. The next cut off is MD 32 and 10 is a two game ban which would obviously be less than ideal ... |
 | Forum Thread | Would love to see Tyler Morton in Jan at 11:09 30 Dec 2024
Having watched a decent amount of Hull last year, I was always drawn to Tyler Morton as a player who would be the perfect long term replacement for Mass/ Morsy. Great range of passing, has that bit of bite, loves a tackle ... There are other positions of more importance but by way of succession planning, i would be delighted if he was on the January list. Now 22 and not currently getting into the LFC match day squad. |
