 | Forum Thread | Hackney Waiting .... at 12:11 30 Jul 2025
I totally understand him wanting to be a PL player and I equally understand the pull of playing for your boyhood team. However I can't quite work out what he is waiting for? The market has been open for two months, we have had a bid accepted and still no PL offers forthcoming? Surely as soon as that bid is in (been public knowledge for at least a week re an official bid/ approach) your agent would be out to every interested PL club with what is essentially an ultimatum. Yet still nothing .... Hopefully nothing is forthcoming and KMc can sell him the dream! Would be some addition. |
 | Forum Thread | Kalvin Phillips - Not even a transfer whisper to anyone .... at 13:27 29 Jul 2025
By all accounts, he did not have a brilliant season last year, however I am surprised that we have reached the start of August and I have not seen him linked with anyone. I guess he could be holding out for some kind of comp based release? Or maybe he's just not good enough for the PL, too expensive for anyone else? This is not me suggesting he should be back here. We need battle hardened reinforcements that can play their part in 50+ games this year and hopefully add value next year. |
 | Forum Thread | Burnley, Leeds, Sunderland - Just 4/22 signings from English leagues at 17:56 22 Jul 2025
Interesting to compare our business with the promoted three this year. It is noticeable that between them Burnley, Leeds & Sunderland have made 4 domestic signings and none of them played in the Championship last year. Sunderland - Adingra Leeds - Longstaff Burnley - Tuanzebe & Walker For what it's worth I think we absolutely did the right thing in beefing up our squad with proven domestic talent but it will be interesting to see how they get on! | Forum Thread | Time for Clarke & Philogene to prove their worth! at 14:57 18 Jul 2025
Omari leaving is obviously disappointing but my overall feeling is that him leaving is undoubtedly the best thing for the club going forward. Not only will it mean that both Clarke and Philogene start but it will also give us a decent kitty to go and do the same thing again and again and again like Brighton/ Brentford etc Hackney & Fellows to be the next two? |
 | Forum Thread | Huge position of strength on Omari ... at 09:46 16 Jul 2025
Now that the clause has expired it's time for Ashton to dig in and get that price up! Feels like we can get this certainly upwards of 40/45M, especially with them expecting a windfall. |
 | Forum Thread | Club must be pretty sure of quality CM replacements ... at 10:21 15 Jul 2025
I have to say I wasn't quite ready to lose Sam. He's been the heartbeat of our team for 3 years and really the catalyst to the large majority of our play. I was 100% sure he would be starting at Birmingham. I have full trust in Ashton & co to adequately replace the 4 CM's we have now lost but we really need to give them time to bed in ahead of the season. Let's hope Azor is a quick learner! |
 | Forum Thread | I will say this ... it's very very quiet on the Brentford/ McKenna stuff at 12:18 11 Jun 2025
My position is very much if he goes then so be it, he's earn't it. But just comparing the noise around Brighton last summer to this one, it's night and day. Pretty much from the moment De Zerbi left, every journalist was on him to Brighton as no1 target. Now with Frank all but departed... crickets from most. |
 | Forum Thread | Loan Targets for Lee Grant? at 11:48 29 May 2025
It feels odd to be in the position as a supplier of talent (coaches & players) having spent so long burning through players and coaches pre Gamechanger & Kieran. Hopefully Lee Grant see's some of the value in one or two of our youngsters and is keen to take them across to install some of his values/ principles. A loan to league one would seem like a decent move for Baggott, Boniface, Fin Barbrook & maybe even Mendel ... My inkling is that Baggott ends up staying around the group this year, especially if Cam leaves. |
 | Forum Thread | Leicester looking at a minimum 12 point deduction ... at 09:56 21 May 2025
Good Article - https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/6369932/2025/05/20/leicesters-psr-points-deduct Key quotes .. "Given Leicester’s long fight to avoid being sanctioned by either body and their most recent failure to submit accounts to the Premier League, they are almost certainly going to be charged with an aggravated breach. This would suggest a starting position of them getting docked 12 points, though with a good chance that the Premier League will ask for even more. There is one further thing for the club to ponder, too, as the EFL has still not completely given up on the idea that it could pick up the 2022-23 PSR investigation it was unable to complete when Leicester won promotion last year. And if that is not depressing enough, the EFL will be all over the club’s accounts for next season, so the prospect of transfer embargoes and agreed budgets is very real." |

But he certainly looks to have the measure of this game. Often an option, comfortably knocking the ball around, not afraid to play the more challenging ball forward, good in the tackle etc etc |
 | Forum Thread | Dara O'Shea ... at 15:23 23 Apr 2025
Seen a lot of people mention O'Shea as a nailed on exit but I for one can't see him leaving. It would have to be a solid mid table Prem side and if that's the case you're probably talking £25M given we signed him for £15M? That to me does not feel like a hugely attractive price. If it's someone like Leeds I'd feel pretty confident. I know players live on the road nowadays but I'm not sure moving to a third club in three seasons would be top of the priority list for his young family. |
 | Forum Thread | How much would Broady/ Chappers be worth? at 15:01 22 Apr 2025
For what it's worth, I would absolutely be on board if both were still a big part of the squad next season. I would be particularly gutted if Chappers left as he plays that position unbelievably well in the system. With that being said, it's pretty clear that we have a bottleneck at those positions with Clarke, Philogene, Szmodics, Broady, Chappers, Hutch all possibly vying for those two positions. Interested to know what price others would sell that? |

Interesting to compare goals scored for this seasons' top 4 vs last seasons' at the 43 game mark. This year ... Leeds - 83 Burnley - 59 Sheff U - 59 Sunderland - 58 Last year ... Leicester - 84 Ipswich - 85 Leeds - 76 Southampton - 84 What an achievement our final total of 92 was ... [Post edited 21 Apr 10:10]

 | Forum Thread | Injuries | What could have been ... at 15:15 28 Feb 2025
I know it's part of the game but with news that Omari will now also miss time, I cant help but feel in a season where everything needed to go right, we have really been hurt by longer term injuries and at key times. Tuanzebe missing just as we started to pick up some momentum in the first part of the year, Greaves after a great start, Ogbene before he had got going, Burns when we had no real ability to replace him, Hirst leaving us with no ability to hurt teams off the bench for a decent chunk, Chappers after great performances vs Wolves/ Bournemouth, Szmodics after a great performance at Fulham ... I could go on! [Post edited 28 Feb 16:21]

 | Forum Thread | Our worst performance of the season .. at 21:30 26 Feb 2025
Three set-piece goals conceded, 2 flukey goals scored, nothing really created against 10 or 11 men. Showcases the gulf in class but our ability to defend the box and play simple passes second half has been nothing short of completely pathetic. We seem to be getting worse as the season goes on! |
 | Forum Thread | ***IF we go down, how do we feel about Jack Taylor starting CH games? at 09:36 25 Feb 2025
I think JT can be really happy with his progress over the last 18 months. Has rightfully been beyond Mass and Jens starting just 8 league games. However, with plenty of talk around midfield upgrades this summer, I wondered where most stood on him next season **IF we do drop. You'd have thought he'd be pushing very hard to start. Would you be happy if he was starting most games alongside Morsy? |
 | Forum Thread | Delighted for Harry Clarke at 08:40 13 Feb 2025
Seemingly walked into the first XI of the second best team in the division and put together three really good performances. Hopefully it's another hugely positive step in his development and whatever happens, he can have a really strong impact with us next season regardless of division. |
