Tractor Girls Hit 11 to Return to Top of Table
Ringwood... if the men achieved a result like that there would still be someone moaning that we had conceded 2 goals!
Cracking result for the women, well done. Can't wait for the Southampton clash.
Burns: We Can Still Win the League
We have Lincoln away then Sheff Wed and Doncaster at home. If we can't muster at least one win out of those then Cook and his abysmal coaching staff can go take a hike!
I can honestly see us going the whole of August and September without a win.
Ipswich Town 2-5 Bolton Wanderers - Highlights
I have no problem with the players we have recruited. We can put out 11 talented players, we are just not playing as a team. This falls fair and square on PC and the coaches that he has brought in.
Keane: I Got Recruitment Wrong at Town
"I think that was one of my strengths, motivating people." Is he having a laugh?
Motivating players by publicly stating that there were 3 players not good enough to wear the shirt. He didn't actually name them but everyone knew he meant McCauley, Delaney and Garvin. Two of which went on to have incredibly long careers in the Premier League.
The team was so motivated that there daren't make a mistake for fear of the manager's backlash. Walters should have flattened him when he had the chance!
Town Close in On Celina Loan Signing
If this had been anyone else I would be moaning about the short-termism of loan players and how this has a ring of the past managers to it, i.e. having to get loanees in to replace their permanent signings who haven't hit the mark yet.
However, in this case this is a good move. We wanted him on a permanent deal before his heart problem was diagnosed. This way we can monitor his progress and if all is clear as his specialist says, then we can make it permanent next year.
Blues Linked With Brighton Keeper Walton
Whilst Hladky has not been the keeper we were looking for. All these last minute signings and 'linked withs' are beginning to look like Hurstesqe desperation.
I'm losing confidence in Cook knowing what he is up to.⁷
Blues Pull Out of Jacobs Deal
If we weren't already, we are now, the one team everyone wants to beat this season!
No more Mr Nice Guy - Town are back!
Mukandi Town's Head of Strength and Conditioning
If this means we stop losing players long term because of recurring injuries, I don't care how many coaches we get in.
I would like to know exactly what there duties are though. First team fitness and head of strength and conditioning seem somewhat similar.
Legend Butcher Exits U23s Role
There are some overly sentimental comments about this. TB only rejoined the club year and a half ago, its not like he has been in the role since retiring from playing.
Without knowing precisely what his duties were, it looks to be a simple case of being excess to requirements. It wouldn't surprise me if there are more faces leaving in the near future, because at one time it seemed we had more backroom staff than players.
Town Confirm Fraser Signing
Another very good signing that also says to Rotherham to stop messing about with Crooks or we can go elsewhere.
We are looking good up front and as an attacking midfield outfit that It brings the defence into doubt as whether they are strong enough. Another good defender and I will be more than happy.
Are we still in for another Keeper or have we settled on Holy as the backup?
Cook: Signing a Quality Player of Pigott's Calibre Another Statement
He can certainly talk the talk and with these signings he is beginning to walk the walk. However, when I see other news like Derby with a suspended 3 points deduction and Sheffield Wednesday with a suspended 6 points reduction. Reading with a transfer embargo, I am putting blind faith in that all these deals are on a sound financial footing.
Still that is the cynic in me and until I hear otherwise I am not going to get anything else but excited about the new season. BIG FAT COOK'S BLUE AND WHITE ARMY!!
Town Confirm Pigott Signing
Cook plays 1 up front, so where does this leave Bonne and Norwood?
Bonne looks like he is versatile and can play behind, but Norwood needs to work his socks off and stay fit to play any part next season.
3 solid strikers at the club, when did we last have that? Day by day the excitement begins to build!
Town Appoint New Head of Academy Sport Science
Blues1 .... If you read Nathan Griffith's posting he uses the words "managing the U23s". Which could suggest he is usurping Keiran Dyer. It comes down to his interpretation of 'managing' and what his duties are.
Ashton Hopeful New Names Will Arrive Fairly Soon
I notice that he used the word "hopeful" and not "certain" and if we don't get these new faces in, what next? Grab the next best thing, like Keane did when he couldn't get the players he wanted? Try to motivate those who remain having been told that they are not good enough?
I hope Paul Cook gets his men and is as good a manager as we think his is because so far his man management skills have been somewhat lacking.
Lankester Set For Cambridge as Clubs Agree Deal
I can see both sides of the argument e.g. full of promise v had his chance and we don't see what kind of attitude he has to training, but at 21 years old he has go to be worth putting out on loan to get game time and see how he develops. Lets face it the atmosphere at the club these last few seasons has not exactly been conducive to developing as a player.
He could turn out to be another Bowditch and stick around the lower leagues but then again he could be another Jordan Rhodes or Jack Marriot. Time will tell.
First-Teamers Set to Start Pre-Season Training With U23s
Why would Holy be included in the 1st team, when it has been reported here that he is free to move on? We are on the look-out for a new goalie so what would happen when we sign one, Holy moves to U23s?
There is no way that there is any truth in this whatsoever.
