Hmm, Racu left the danish club to play two international friendlies, despite having been told "no", as they were playing important league matches. Subsequently his contract was immediately cancelled.... Would be very surprised if his level is good enough for us. |

Very good blog, much the thoughts I've had myself. In many aspects we should be very happy how things are run at ITFC. Going in to the history books, we might never have had the era of Sir Bobby Robson, if things were handled in the sixties, as they are today. Gaining only 1 point from the first 7 matches ot the 1969/70-season would be a sure sacking nowadays. Unfortunately money has become to big, football-knowledge and/or feelings to low from owners, meaning that patience and building-up of a team is very rare today. A real shame, but think there are som indications, that is is actually happening in the right way at Ipswich now. Cross my fingers. |

I am quite sure, that Mr. Evans and Mr. Clegg will do whatever possible to keep DJ at the club. However, we should all be thankfull that they manage the club in an economically sensible way. Nobody want us to follow Pompey or beeing sold to some asian pineapple producer! A happy new year to everybody. In MM we trust and in Evans and Clegg. I do! |

Is´n it quite straight forward? Development must be payed from a certain age (12 or 14 yrs old, I think) with a specific amount to the clubs where he has been involved. Think the rules are quite clear, unless you want to negotiate, of course :-) Anyway, these money are much less than even ordinary transfer fees, so should be a good deal.... |

Good point there Paul, ALB must have a real chance if he takes on the challenge. But competition is always good.... |

The only way to go, although it will upset the league for a while. In Denmark it was introduced years back, that the clubs capital should always be minimum 25 % of the yearly wages. If not, the clubs are not allowed to sign any players.... So your wages are not based on optimistic income budgets, but also on what you have actually got in hand... |
