| News Comment | Norwich City 1-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 15:43:14
Unbelievable season, but didn't seem up to the task today. This game means so much to our supporters, yet left flat, that performance and Leeds and Leicester trip up, I doubt it. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-2 Maidstone United - Match Report at 14:56:25
This game will haunt us for years, makes losing 9-0 to Man U a close game. First time I will question McKenna, but how is making 10 changes showing Maidstone respect? Good opportunity for 5th round, but without 2 strikers, little chance of promotion, despite a brilliant season until today. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-0 Stoke City - Match Report at 18:46:17
Good performance and could have had more goals, Woolfenden was my man of the match. Referee seemed blind to constant fouls by Stoke. Only negative for me was two yellows for time wasting, especially from Hladky, we don't have enough back up keepers! |
| News Comment | Cotterill: Strongest Team We've Played This Season at 21:47:51
Whilst Mick didn't have the funds, you can't compare McCarthy to McKenna. Mc Kenna is tactically much better than Mick, who I never had a problem with. 27,000 crowd and atmosphere was as good as I have heard all season. Thought Shrewsbury did OK but for most of the game, at this level, few teams could compete with us. Terrible officials, under different circumstances could and should have been 4 or 5. |
| News Comment | Burnley 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 22:33:22
Latest match of throwing away a game, enough is enough. We have little of chance of promotion. Great support, backing and a decent squad, but no reality, personally no idea where we go from here. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-1 Cambridge United - Match Report at 17:41:03
We were shocking today, back to the bad old days of Paul Cook. We gave the ball away time after time. Cambridge weren't good we were awful, sadly McKenna got his team selection very wrong for once. Carroll and Penney should never wear the blue of Ipswich again. |
| News Comment | McKenna: Edmundson Out For the Foreseeable Future But Morsy Back in Training at 14:40:35
George Edmundson has had a great season, his distribution on Tuesday was first class, not once did he hoof it up the pitch, always looking to distribute. Hopefully Cameron Burgess can step up. 2-0 was flattering for Lincoln, play like that against Portsmouth and should be 3 points. |
| News Comment | Pigott: Gutted About the Result But We’re Still Building at 15:46:26
Cook is signing players with no plan how they will play together, he is like a kid in the sweet shop, God knows what our American owners must think. An inept keeper who doesn't command his box and hopelessly out of position for set pieces. Can we afford a third keeper? No leader as a captain, worrying times, played 5 of (and no disrespect) average league one teams, yet support is close to 20,000, and fans have been fantastic, no clean sheets, conceded 2 goals per game, very hard to be positive currently. |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 2-2 MK Dons - Match Report at 17:49:42
Felt for Macauley Bonne, two well taken goals, their first goal was from a poor free kick to concede and keeper badly placed. Second goal, well, talk about a gift, individual errors are costing us, nothing to do do with team gelling. Not 100% sold on Paul Cook or Hladky, but can't blame Cook for so many individual errors. MK never really looked like scoring until we gifted them both goals. We seriously need to improve before we play the "bigger" teams. |
