PFA: There May Be No Alternative to Behind-Closed-Doors Games
at 07:58:35

Surely playing behind closed doors will still require at least one ambulance to be present at every match in case of serious player injury. That can't be justified in the current crisis. Plus some teams will still have players in isolation.

Lambert: Lads Gave Me Everything
at 22:27:22

It's about time people at the club got real. PL definitely wasn't watching the same game as I was. We were poor in the first half. Better second half but without really threatening the Coventry goal.

"Reflecting on Town's lack of goals, Lambert added: “Absolutely, but we've got three big players out." I'm afraid that for me, Jackson, Norwood and Keane are not big players. They are mediocre at best. We do not have any decent strikers. No one that can head the ball or hold it up to bring others into the game. Put Woolfenden up front for the rest of the season and tell him to enjoy himself. He big, athletic, good in the air, and along with Downes has been our best player this season.

Lambert: We Should Have Been a Couple Up After Excellent First Half
at 20:01:25

I wish PL would stop seeing things through his rose tinted glasses. We have had some disastrous results and in reality we are just a mid table League 1 side. The blame lies squarely with ME. He won't invest so we will continue to slide ever downwards. We need some decent strikers who WILL take their chances. Too many chances missed by Jackson, Norwood and Keane.

Lap of Appreciation After Swansea Match
at 17:45:01

Whilst I can understand the thinking behind this, I can't say I agree with it. Why should we let a bunch of possibly badly behaved fans from Leeds spoil our end of season day. If the authorities are concerned about Leeds fans kicking off why give them 2,000 more tickets.

Lambert: Probably the Story of the Season
at 07:32:16

I thought we played reasonable well up until the second goal but not as well as we have done in recent matches (Forest, Bristol City, Villa). We create loads of chances - often far more than our opponents - but we fail to put them away. With a strike force consisting of Quaner and Jackson I need say no more. For me, defining moments in our season were John Walters' injury and Will Keene's injury. Thinks could have been so different if JW had stayed fit. Let's hope the closed season brings us some really good "20 goals a season" strikers.

Ipswich Town 1-2 West Bromwich Albion - Match Report
at 23:42:37

Who was the stupid announcer at tonight's match. Absolute rubbish. Someone should tell him he doesn't need to shout when he has a microphone. Get rid of him and bring back Rob Chandler.

Hurst: We Deserved the Point
at 09:23:18

Good start to the new era of Paul Hurst. Great atmosphere and good to be at Portman Road with a positive attitude all round the ground. Definitely a work in progress but still hugely optimistic for the season ahead. On a less positive note, I think it's time Freddie Sears moved on - for his own benefit as well as the clubs. MM brought in a great player and broke him. He needs a new start and a new club. I don't think we will ever see the Freddie Sears of old.

Hurst: There Have Been Waghorn Bids But Not at a Value We'd Consider
at 20:02:16

Waghorn will go - I've no doubt at all about that. Derby spend money like there is no tomorrow and will eventually pay the asking price. The key thing is how much of the fee does PH get to spend and when. Give him the best part of £8m less Rangers' cut and we could bring in some decent, young and ambitious players. On that basis I would say it's a good deal for the club. If PH gets none of the money or very little then I would say it's a good deal for ME but not for the team.

Hurst: Solid Return From Jonas
at 07:21:27

I think Knudsen was unhappy with the way MM was treated by fans and was equally unhappy with his departure. Maybe he is looking to move on now. Personally, I think Knudsen has a part to play either at LB or CB but there is no point having someone in the squad who is not totally committed to the team.

Town Turned Down Blades Waghorn Bid
at 12:53:43

I really want Waghorn to stay as He adds a lot to the team BUT we have to be realistic in today's transfer market. If a big off £7m+ comes in I think we will sell him. Remember the £7m+ offer we had for McGoldrick which we turned down. He was never the same for Town and in the end he went on a "free". The key thing for me is who gets the money. If Hust gets it all to reinvest in new players, then fine. If MM pockets it then I for one will not be happy.

Chambers Expected to Miss Rest of Season With Cracked Rib
at 11:05:43

Can't understand people slagging off our captain particularly after he injured himself giving his usual 100%. I'm sure Chambers himself will admit he's not the greatest footballer in the league but he has given everything for ITFC. Speedy recovery Chambo.

McCarthy Explains Sub Decisions
at 07:58:43

Play 4-4-2 with Seears up front in a central position not out wide. Lawrence, Skuse, Williams, Ward in midfield will be better than having Douglas in the side any day of the week despite what MM wants us to believe.

McCarthy Taking Each Game As it Comes
at 08:54:38

MM please don't start with two defensive midfielders against a low table side when we are at home. We need to start with at least five attacking outfield players and possibly six. If Skuse and Douglas start I can see an inevitable 0-0 result.
