All together now: Omari ho ho ho ho Omari ho ho ho ho He’s deadly on the wing And that’s why we all sing Omari ho ho ho ho |
| News Comment | McKenna: Me and Karl Were Both Happy to Abandon and Play the Game Another Day at 20:33:08
McKenna says he wanted game called off at half time. Why didn't McKenna know the rule that when you reach 75 mins and call game off the score at that point stands as the result? He should have asked for abandonment at 70 mins but having waited too long to approach Ref didn't want to settle for a point. 🤬 |

| News Comment | Ripley: We Have to Be Horrible to Play Against at 14:16:05
These comments are unacceptable and likely to encourage the type of behaviour or challenges that could seriously injure Town players. I have reported Ripley's comments to the EFL and asked them to investigate |
| News Comment | Northampton Town 3-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 21:21:14
Apparently Paul Cook was Number one on our new Chairman's list. I imagine that at the next meeting of the Board of Directors they will be reflecting on whether Paul Cook is the person to trust with the significant investment that's been earmarked to raise the Ipswich Phoenix from the ashes. Even given the squad that Paul Cook has inherited 2 wins from 12 games is unacceptable. Using a music analogy if you gave a broken and out of tune guitar to a decent musician they would at least get some sort of tune out of it! |
| News Comment | Rochdale 0-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 17:11:10
I appreciate that PC is yet to have a transfer window or a pre season but I did at least expect him to inject some urgency, belief and enthusiasm into what “on paper” is a reasonable squad. However, there is no “new Manager bounce” nor any indication that PC has had any impact at all. I'm now seriously wondering whether we have found the new messiah and if there is a takeover whether PC will survive? |
| News Comment | Portsmouth 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 18:12:48
The only positive from today is all the draws in the games between teams above us which still somehow keeps us in the playoffs chase. I have a feeling that PC may be able to use the last 10 games to steer us to to 6th place. However, beyond that ??? |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-0 Northampton Town - Match Report at 21:25:40
Just listen to comments of local media commentators Stuart Watson “Every bit as dire and depressing as it sounded. Gutless, lifeless, clueless, passive, disjointed. Use whatever adjective you like. This feels like a new low.” Mick Mills “I'm sad - this is drab and dull” Brenner Woolley at half time “I feel like booing them off” |
| News Comment | Thomas Relishing Promotion Challenge at 12:02:43
A promising signing and I liked his self assessment of what Town fans can expect from him: "I'm an out and out winger. I like to get the ball out wide and then try to get at my man, and cause problems for the full-back that I'm up against. "I'm a player that works hard for the team and I'll always try and get back to do my work defensively as well. "This is something I'm looking forward to and I know the next two games are big ones." |
| News Comment | Lambert: We've Got to Get a Result at Burton at 13:35:24
I know this sounds a bit left field and radical but why not move our two ageing fullbacks to the middle of defence and switch with the two younger lads who can get up and down the pitch for 90+ mins? Will this get me the job as next Town Manager or not even make the shortlist? |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-0 Crewe Alexandra - Match Report at 17:45:56
So much negativity! Town are level on points at the top; Won 7 of the first 10; clean sheets; injured players to come back and getting results when not playing their best football. There are many more things to be negative about including the impending lockdown announcement which could have major implications on the EFL and Town's prospects of promotion |
| News Comment | Lambert: We've Got to Be Better Without the Ball at 23:10:06
Lambo sounding more and more like that character off the ‘Fast Show' who uses the catchphrase “brilliant” all the time. “ isn't our passing out from the back brilliant!” “Aren't our back 4 brilliant” “have you seen my tactics - they're brilliant!” “although we were hammered 4-1 weren't we brilliant” etc etc |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-4 West Ham United at 19:17:54
I understand the prestige of playing PL teams but in order to prepare us for the hurly burly of L1 surely we should be playing pre season friendlies against good L2 teams? |

| News Comment | EFL Confirm Fixtures Postponed Until 3rd April at 18:58:15
This is clearly the right decision and shows leadership from the Premier League and EFL. However, many EFL clubs are going to face significant financial challenges due to cash flow problems over next month. This is where ITFC are fortunate in having someone like ME to bankroll the wage bill and other costs throughout the year whatever is happening on and off the pitch |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 4-1 Burton Albion - Match Report at 17:17:57
At last Town turn it on and return to winning ways. However, with 4 of the 6 teams above us also winning it highlights the need for Town to make this the start of a winning run |
| News Comment | Lambert: We Lost to the Better Team at 18:44:32
You can understand why great Premier League Managers like Klopp and Guardiola are incentivised to remain with their clubs for long periods. These great Managers are excellent leaders; brilliant strategists; shrewd operators in the transfer market; have a superb understanding of tactics; can motivate players; engage with the fans and are skilled media operators. Why on earth did ME give PL a 5 year contract? |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 1-4 Peterborough United - Match Report at 17:25:56
"The Emperor's New Clothes" is a short tale written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, about two weavers who promise an emperor a new suit of clothes that they say is invisible to those who are unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent — while in reality, they make no clothes at all, making everyone believe the clothes are invisible to them. When the emperor parades before his subjects in his new "clothes", no one dares to say that they do not see any suit of clothes on him for fear that they will be seen as stupid. Finally a child cries out, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!" Time to call out the “Portman Road Emperor”! |
