Disappointing to see Jamma
at 06:48 1 Jun 2022

OMG out of season syndrome has kicked in fully!! You're all disappointed in a grown man making his own decisions and posting things he happens to agree with on his own twitter page all because he used to play for us!

Get a grip will ya ffs, some of the comments here are truly pathetic and they come from apparent grown men ( I know you commented Rrory but I didn't see any stupidity in ur posts....unless I missed one :P)

And before any of you try to give me sh!t I am vaccinated fully, I'm just not gonna slate anyone for their choice even though the consequences of not being vaccinated may be harsh.

Before anyone can definitively create a top 50 of prem league players you have to take into consideration exactly who do/did those players have around them, Le Tiissier is a bloody good shout and more deserving of being that list than a lot of modern players just because o his team mates, he chose to be faithful to Southampton and total respect for him for doing so but what if he left and played for a bigger club???

Where does Bonne's career go from here?
at 10:53 24 Apr 2022

Back here next season on a permanent deal from Q,P. R and much cheaper than had his scoring form continued.

I don't think it right to say it hasn't worked out for him, yeah the goals dried up for him but as any decent striker will tell you its not all about the goals they score any decent manager and we have a very decent manager will tell you the same, :)

That’s more like it Brenner
at 17:15 23 Apr 2022

Again it may have been over the top from Brenner but its rather unfair of you not to mention what a wonderful strike it was from the crew player, as soon as it left his foot a little voice in my head popped up and said "whatta goal" then the harsh reality of my disappointed face kicked in as it hit the back of the net, but it was no surprise they levelled . you could see it coming!!

But Vic, players have gotten away with this kind of thing since professional football was created, its nothing new so lets not pretend it is, like everything it gets noticed more!!

I don't know exactly how you are gonna do it and from a safety point of view take care whilst doing it but you must take all the willpower and inner strength to do it and take so much heart from the extremely high number of town fans whom have read this post will be praying that you do it, so if you could just find a way to get over yourself before the Charlton match it would be greatly appreciated!!

Morsy just nails it here… I agree we are a work in progress but we can improve
at 22:56 9 Apr 2022

When showing commitment to the team you go all in, a player of Morsy' quality and commitment to drive the team to victory getting a yellow card is par for the course!!

I think you'd be among the first to moan if any player was under-committed when wearing the shirt!!

Criticisms of McKenna and drift
at 21:07 9 Apr 2022

I have to say I agree with nearly all that you said there with the exception of Bonne and the pressure creeping up on KM already. apart from the KM pressure bit I think your last paragraph is spot on and probably is what most sensible supporters feel.

Your whole post sums things up well, our real journey starts next season, it won't be easy, football never is but I am confident we will be up there fighting for top spot.

The excitement and wonder of whom KM may bring in, in the transfer window has got me already.

Once again, really good thoughtful and realistic post, lets just go into next season with hope and confidence rather than expectancy!!

Maybe next season we might actually TRY and put games to bed !!
at 18:43 9 Apr 2022

But do take into account that next season our squad will be stronger as I'm sure KM will do well in his first transfer window being a manager given the contacts he has at his disposal!!

I'm very confident that KM will get us promoted next season even though the league will be a little harder with the 3 that come down from the Championship!!

KM's at the wheel and still in first gear, wait until he shifts up one, :)

Let's not overreact today

Totally agree with you, all we had was hope when KM took over no real expectancy of getting even a play off spot, KM turned out to be a brilliant appointment and got us play as a proper team again playing football the quality of which we had not seen for years, none of saw that coming because very few of us had actually heard of KM before he came here, the adrenalin flowed, the excitement gained so much more with every match and your own expectations had grown bigger and bigger, and your heart told you the way we were playing we could beat anyone in this league under KM that's when your brains should have stepped in and told you football is a funny old game in which anything can happen!!

Yes I agree with all of you we could have picked up more points but look how teams play against us, they park the bus and cheat and literally do all they can to disrupt the way we play, they don't set up to play football and sometime just sometimes that pays for them whether its a draw or a loss for us its hard to take but it happens.

This season was the dream, next season will be the reality!!

I'm sure a lot of you may feel the same as I, loving the football we are playing
at 17:46 9 Apr 2022

But we do need to shoot more from outside the box, we create plenty of chances to shoot from distance but seldom take the long shot on, we beautiful football with intricate passing and quick passing and its a joy to watch but we try to make it too easy for our players to score or maybe I should say more potential to do so by getting them closer to the goal, if the shot is on from outside the box then it should be taken sometimes!!

Brenner for their goal
at 17:25 9 Apr 2022

When you see any player hit the ball so effin sweetly like that you have to appreciate it, it's a feeling, most of who have ever kicked a ball know that its not a regular thing to hit it spot on and when you do it feels amazing, so I think that knowing the feeling of just how good that strike was brings a great deal of excitement out, it was a fantastic goal and I don't think Brenner was over the top with his commentary, just taken aback by the quality of it!!

When every player on the oppositions team is cheating its kinda hard to find away to beat it!

Players should be booked the moment they get up and start running around like nothing happened, I mean if that doesn't tell the ref that the player clearly took the P outta him nothing can!!

Stuart Watson nails yesterday: a bit of a wake-up call as to where Town are
at 19:35 3 Apr 2022

Ahhhhhhh totally understand your point now, I guess its just bad luck that all our strikers had goal droughts at the same time really, had that not happened then god know where we'd be right now!

Interesting you mention Penny & Thompson, I love Domonic's pace, energy and passion but for me his main fault is he has no end product to good work, he never really crosses mostly cuts it back, Penny on the other hand energy and pace a little down but equally as passionate and knows when to deliver a proper cross in, I'd stick with Penny tbh.

And if Cook had won as many points as KM has it would look totally different, right?? Irrespective of the four teams you mention to give validity to your point!!

Some results have been indifferent and had no effect I'm happy to agree with you but you are also not gonna win every game you play, I don't see how you can stop talking about such an important factor that was the start of the season when talking about the place we ultimately finish is dictated by the number of points from the season!

As I said this season we still have hope albeit paper thin, come next season I think everyone will be justified in having expectations of us finishing much higher than we are atm and I for one am really looking forward to it.

ALL of us want the same thing for our club and when we do get what we all want its gonna be fu**ing amazing!

All Watson & Warren care about is getting clicks on the EADT website and the advertising money more clicks generate, you can't read a single opinion of theirs without have it broken apart by multiple adverts, they may care about town but they care for their jobs more, people hold way too much weight with their opinions!

We are gonna finish mid table this season for no other reason than the terrible start we had under Cook's reign, its my opinion had KM taken over even a month earlier we'd be in the top six, ever since KM took over we always had a slim chance of making the play offs, we had nothing more than hope and anyone carrying any expectation of us making it no matter how well the lads played is/was being unrealistic, we still have a hope of making it into the top six still and as we all know anything can happen in football, but realistically its all about next season now and one thing is for sure we have a better manager starting the campaign for us next season than we had this!!

Player of the Season
at 14:18 1 Apr 2022

I would have thought that "The Fridge" would be in contention but his injury may have scuppered his chances now, Wolfy has had his best season ever imo and should be a serious contender, Walton has been impressive so maybe a dark horse if ya like, at the end of the day Janoi deserves all the plaudits he gets, he has been outstanding this season and if it wasn't for he fact that Wes Burns has also had the season of his life Janoi would be the choice but Wes is my choice for player of the year, we haven't had anyone who brings such excitement and anticipation of something really is going to happen everytime he gets the ball for so many years.

With the exception of Scott Fraser who moved cos he didn't get his own way whilst here, everyone who played for us especially since KM took over has done us proud (we can't blame the players for Paul Cooks tactics or lack of, they were playing as instructed by him) so to have as many candidates for player of the season as we have this year is exceptional and speaks volumes about the players we have now!

Whatever happens in the 6 remaining games I wanna thank the owners, the board, the manager, all coaching staff at the club now and lastly but no means least my fellow Town fans for making this season the most exciting and atmospheric season we have had for years, our future really is in safe hands now!!

Ipswich till I die.
