Homophobia and banning
at 16:44 18 Oct 2021
I've never been one to call for bans and I have some proper weirdos that spend their time abusing me on here but...
If the club are going to rightfully clamp down on homophobia sury twtd should as well. Only last week we had a moron poster posting homophobic nonsense and then claimed anything else was woke

Well played whoever it was
He really seems to be feeling it now with the norwich Cup comment. I wonder if he will also start a mock fight to distract from the performance like his predecessor

We had a 20 minute spell at the start of the 2nd half where we played the football we need to play. We passed we purpose looking to create gaps and exploit.
The 1st half was OK but still too often it is a mix of possession for the sake of it and hoofed balls from the cbs. I really doubt a team passes backwards as often as us, obviously many do pass backwards in the modern chess football but there is a purpose to it to find a gap or an opening. For us too often it literally goes back every 3rd pass for the sake of it, there is no plan
We have to find multiple ways to play but that spellbis plan A.
I could talk about improving and turning corners if I couldnsee that more often. I can't though so for me we are still patchy and without a set plan. That is unacceptable at this stage

For all of the money splashed on our so called stars of league 1 Hoolahan was the stand out player by some suitable at the age of 39. Celina was seen as way too good for this league, he is a long way off Hoolahan

I really can't see Cook going but I really can't see any signs of getting it right. I was just behind the dug out today so got to watch them all in action a bit. Cook doesn't communicate with any of the other staff apart from one of them running to get him a coffee. It just doesn't seem healthy that he is not discussing tactics or being challenged at any point.
Please explain the Edwards sub
at 17:05 16 Oct 2021
Fair enough 15 minutes earlier but by that point the game had become a lump and scrap affair. What in earth was Edwards supposed to bring to it??
You could seenit coming yet again and again he couldn't do anything to change it

Amongst the Ipswich supporters on twitter
The way they are with females on there is really weird and I don't mean abuse or openly perverted stuff but the way they are with any semi attractive female and the low level liking and desperation around them
Desperate managers talk b*llocks part 488488929
at 09:52 15 Oct 2021
Paul Cook - “And like we tell the players all the time, “It’s your shirt to give up. When we give you the shirt, we don’t want to take it off you’.
Also Paul Cook - Quizzed on that selection dilemma, Cook said: “We’ll just keep our cards close to our chest. We’ve got an extremely strong squad, I think competition for places is there for everyone to see.
“Personally, as a manager, I’ve always felt competition should always drive performance up. I think that’s a real key ingredient to what good clubs have, that you fear for your place.
“If Bersant wasn’t to start tomorrow, that’s obviously tough after you’ve been away playing international football, of course. But obviously Conor’s come in and taken that chance.
“I think one of the big things with the three games coming up this week, three very tough fixtures starting off at Cambridge, I think we’ve going to have to utilise the squad in certain areas to get the best level of performance we can and the most points we can accumulate.”
Fans don’t always agree with managers rotating their squads, preferring bosses to stick with a winning XI even when games are coming thick and fast and Cook has sympathy with that view.
“I’d probably be in the fans’ way of thinking, if I’m being brutally truthful,” he said. “But if you look at the performance at Accrington after we’d won against Doncaster, then that probably goes against the grain.
“As a manager, you’re probably damned if you do and damned if you don’t, aren’t you, because the result becomes paramount.
