First time seeing it for me too and completely agree with all your points. |
| Forum Reply | West Ham playoff game segregated Churchmans?! at 21:45 15 May 2023
I remember it, we were sitting in the lower Churchman’s that day. I don’t remember it being an issue particularly, but then we did win that day. I remember the following year when we played them again in the playoffs but in the reverse order (ie Portman Rd leg in the evening) being much spikier. I recall a big fuss with a load of West Ham in the “posh” seats at the back of the lower churchman’s, although I’m not sure if it ever led to anything serious. I remember the game you posted being one of the best home atmospheres at PR I’ve ever seen (note the “limbs” after Bent’s goal in the video you posted), but I also remember the West Ham fans in the fixture the following year being some of the noisiest / most lary I can remember at PR. I was about 13 at the time so not sure quite how clear my memories are. |

“Working” from home (Peckham) this morning before popping up to Kings Cross at midday for train to Sheffield. Rendezvous with a couple of esteemed board posters en route. Suspect will stay in Sheffield til quite near kick off although I am intrigued by the concept of the ‘Barnsley Metrodome’. |

| Forum Thread | ITV 4 via BT TV at 16:33 6 Nov 2022
I’ve just realised that I don’t actually think I have ITV4 on my tv package, which is BT TV plus various add ons like sky sports via now tv. I am a bit useless at this kind of thing, is there any way I can access ITV 4 for the game tomorrow through me telly? Tried ITV hub (the equivalent to iPlayer) but doesn’t appear to show live channels, only catch-up. Ta |

That area has some brilliant restaurants. Both honey & co and honey & smoke are great. Can also recommend Clipstone which is nearby, it is the little brother of Michelin star Portland but has similar quality food at a lower price. |
| Forum Thread | Covid travel testing at 16:31 24 Jul 2021
Has anyone had any good/bad experiences with providers of Covid testing for international travel? We’re hoping to get to Portugal next month and the company that the airline recommends is Randox, however they have a whole load of very dodgy reviews on Google which are putting me off using them. Please & thanks. |
| Forum Reply | Your best lockdown achievements so far. at 08:59 19 May 2020
All about food here... I really enjoy cooking but so rarely previously felt I had the time/energy to get stuck into things that take a bit longer, with long working days and packed weekends gallivanting. With that all out the window I have been cooking almost every day, I think my best achievements so far are: Making my first proper Sunday roasts With all the trimmings - Pork belly and Roast beef & Yorkshire puddings so far Making my first lasagne from scratch Learning how to bbq things properly beyond just chucking burgers on there; including slow smoking a chicken with hickory wood chips I’m reluctant to say this but I actually think lockdown has been generally quite good for my mental wellbeing... a much needed chance to just pause the relentless hamster wheel of life for a bit. This may be because I don’t have kids.... |
| Forum Reply | So...holidays abroad at 12:10 26 Mar 2020
I was very lucky to sneak in a long-planned trip to Brazil at the beginning of this month so i can't feel too hard done by however i have had to cancel loads of upcoming trips. Next month alone i was due to be in Amsterdam for JakeITFC's aforementioned 30th, Poland for brother in law's wedding which has sadly had to be postponed, and had a golf trip to Cornwall which is now looking seriously unlikely. Only other thing i've actually got booked is Ibiza in July which is still vaguely possible but looking less and less likely by the day... |

My first derby, aged 6. Have some really vivid memories though, particularly the helicopter delivering the ball pre-kick off. Interesting that our avg attendance that year was under 15k despite us being relatively good. |

Where in London are you even talking about? Hampstead or Harlesden? Kensington or the Old Kent Road? It's completely fair enough that living London isn't for everyone but writing off the entirety of one of the largest and most diverse cities on the planet is peak ignorance. |

Wondered if you care to elaborate on this at all. If i'm a tw*t now I'm fairly sure i was a tw*t before i moved to London. |
