A Merry Christmas and a promotional new year to Phil and all at TWTD Towers. |
| News Comment | Scott Duncan - Football's Forgotten Man at 15:23:35
A great read. I was aware of his influence here, but not of his previous playing career. An real old school coup to get him, and with his contacts and the Cobbolds Old Etonian links we were forced our way in. The rest is history! |
| News Comment | Referee Changed For Charlton Match at 11:23:07
Don't worry, he's probably Leeds, so will hate everyone but have a massively over inflated view of himself. There'll be some sort of problem no doubt. Just have to put this game out of reach early! |
| News Comment | TWTV: Ray Crawford Interview at 21:17:31
Think Jack Charlton after the Colchester game that Crawford had always been one of his most difficult opponents. Great goals to games ratio, up there with Greaves, Clough. A gent too. That 2nd goal had a touch of Marcus Stewart about it! |

Only improvement to make is to revert back to the old (72-95) badge. It was perfect, didn’t need messing about with. Look at last seasons shirt to see just how it enhanced it! |

Maybe look at acoustics too, something to project sound out of SBR rather than have it absorbed by the thick concrete slab just above our heads? |
| Blog Comment | History Boys and Renaissance Men at 16:03:22
As Stowmarket points out, the one sub era, no list of superstars willing to be sub( Liverpool had David Fairclough who filled that role!), and one of the saddest days was that Arsenal game after beating Villa four days before. Beattie and Thijssen sitting injured on the bench, Gates goes off after TEN minutes to be replaced by Tommy Parkin.... King Frans didn’t play again until the UEFA Final. Could be argued we were actually TOO good for our own good. Just going for a simple double might have been better! |

I once read, in the 90’s, that Kevin Keegan was a subscriber when at Newcastle. He loved the local league stuff! |
| Blog Comment | It is a Question of Caring and Camps at 20:21:56
The ‘Ipswich Way’ rerrferred more the way things were done at the Club under the Cobbolds, rather than a playing style. |
