McCarthy said they had been relegated, he said it as if it was justification for his (I hate to describe it as this) style of football. I see it as deliberate sabotage once he realised the writing was on the wall and done in an act of self justification.
A little about Richard Dearlove the man and his beliefs:- Sir Richard is a signatory of the neo-Conservative Henry Jackson Society principles.[10] He is also a "senior advisor" to the Monitor Group — a consultancy and private equity firm which has been implicated in undertaking PR work for Libya and Muammar Gaddafi.[11][12] In April 2013, it was announced that Dearlove joined the advisory board of Ergo, an intelligence and advisory firm.[13][14]
“On 19 February 2018 I made a seriously defamatory statement on my Twitter account, ‘Ben Bradley MP (@bbradleymp)’, about Jeremy Corbyn, alleging he sold British secrets to communist spies. I have since deleted the defamatory tweet. I have agreed to pay an undisclosed substantial sum of money to a charity of his choice, and I will also pay his legal costs.
“I fully accept that my statement was wholly untrue and false. I accept that I caused distress and upset to Jeremy Corbyn by my untrue and false allegations, suggesting he had betrayed his country by collaborating with foreign spies.
“I am very sorry for publishing this untrue and false statement and I have no hesitation in offering my unreserved and unconditional apology to Jeremy Corbyn for the distress I have caused him.”Â
It is really sad news like this that makes a mere game of football seem so trivial. My sincere condolences to all Chris's family may he rest in peace now free from pain.
