Accrington Stanley 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report
WTF was that.
Ipswich were poor in every area of the pitch today, we couldn't seem to win the 50/50 balls, we couldn't compete with the aggressive nature of the Accrington Stanley players, and had no creativity what so ever.
I struggled to understand the team picked, Dozzel instead of Huws, and Judge alongside Jackson instead of Keane. I had no issue with Gwion playing, but he was out muscled by the opposition players to easily.
Nsiala for me was the worst player we had on the pitch, he had no idea what he was doing, couldn't mark, tackle, clear, or pass. I hope Lambert thinks twice next time he puts him in the team.
All In all nothing worked for us today, whether it was because we lost momentum due to cancelling the game during the international break, the fact we barely ever win when we are on TV, poor team selection, or the start time, I don't know. All I know is we have to perform much better on Wednesday, or we could start seeing us slip like Sunderland, and Portsmouth last season.
Keane Delighted to Be Back
As much as I like Keane signing for us, I'm concerned about his injury proneness.
I'd hope Town have a pay as you play contract, otherwise we could (I hope not) be lumbered with another player who we get barely a handful of games out of.
With any luck he will keep fit and do well for us, so with my fingers crossed, welcome back Will.
Lambert: If We Don’t Make That Error, We Win the Game
No S**t Sherlock.
How many mistakes can one man get away with, how many points can one man lose for a team, and how many chances can one man get.
If your Luke Chambers...?
Fist pump that!!!!!
Lambert: Germany Trip Beneficial
Some of you guys on here need to take their goddamn happy pills. For weeks on TWTD I've read mainly negative comments every time a new story comes in, and it really shows some of the people on here seem to have a hard on for Town to fail miserably this season.
I for one will support Paul Lambert, the players, and the club that I love, as we need to show the team the same spirit that we had at the end of last season.
Town Confirm Keane Loan Signing
Has anyone looked at Murphy's scoring record before he signed for us?
Hopefully he will be that type of player, so I for one welcome him to the club, and hope he can reboot his career with us even if it is on loan.

I have finally given up any hope of staying up this season, and I believe the players have as well. It's time to prepare for next season and drop the "so called" experienced players who have been disappointing, Spence, Knudsen, Chambers, & Skuse (although he played well in the first half tonight), and start bringing in the promising youth players to give them match experience, they can't do any worse...surely.
To me the club has crumbled since Magilton's sacking, not enough investment, poor recruitment, endless amount of 30+ journey men who just did enough for McCarthy without any ambition to take Ipswich up, and Marcus Evans poor judgement with regards to hiring managers, chief execs (cos he didn't want much to do with the club), and awful ticket pricing schemes.
This has been coming for a long...long...long time, and I think that tonight has to be the lowest I have ever felt as an Ipswich fan, our once great club has gone from being a vibrant family club, trying to play the game right under Magilton to a mediocre, quiet, joke of a club, whose playing style is now beyond poor.
I feel sorry for Paul Lambert, he has inherited a rudderless, and broken club, I don't envy his job one little bit.
Now I'm going to finish the rest of this bottle of Vodka off to stop the pain...goodnight all.

Furious...it sounded like listening to one of Micks teams playing away.
I am still positive that Mick needed to leave, and I was unsure of Hurst coming in to replace him, but I thought his enthusiasm would balance out his lack of Championship level management skills...I think my first reaction may be right.
Unfortunately the club seems to be on its way down, maybe it has been a long time coming, but I don't believe most town fans would be surprised that these sh**ty days have arrived.
The Club has been a ticking time bomb of mediocre football from Keane, Jewell, Mick, and now Hurst who at least has the intent of player a decent quality of football, I still think that the biggest mistake our club made was sacking Magilton.
I'm trying not to be a total doom & gloom merchant, but I cannot think of much positives at the club I love at the moment.
The most annoying thing is that the BCWYWF, Mick McCarthy loving, type of fans are as happy as larry right now, tapping away at their sticky keyboards after this defeat.
Anyway, fingers crossed for the Brentford game, lets hope Hurst can turn this ship around...COYB.

Two struggling teams, both not firing on all cylinders, but this is Ipswich vs Naaarwich, and you need some stand out performances from a couple of the boys.
Walters may be the link between the midfield and defence we have been waiting for this season, he made a huge difference to the attacking play.
Pennington looked solid in defence, its a shame the reaction on this site was so negative when he was signed.
Gwion didn't stop working throughout and his deflected goal was well deserved.
Gerken did well despite the goal conceded, and to be honest there did need to be a change in goal until Bart can have a rest, as his poor form has cost us a few goals.
All in all a game with some positives for town, and it all could have been different if we could have grabbed that phantom second goal in the ten minutes after we scored.
The only major problem with todays result is...WE STILL CAN'T BEAT THE SCUM...ok that's out of the way.
Still no need to panic though, because what this game has shown me is that Naaarwich is s**t and are going to struggle this season, while we steadily build our new future.
Nsiala's Red Card Appeal Rejected
Utter disgrace...what a bunch of blind muppets this panel must be, football refs are untouchable in this country...SHAME!!!!!!!!!!
Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
No Way we should have lost this game.
Another poor referee, no way Nsiala should have been sent off, it was a very good tackle, it will be appealed successfully.
Better creativity in the first half, but again no finishers on show for town.
Chalobah is still not a midfielder, his passes and decision making was poor (to be fair it wasn't that good across the board), to quote Mathie "does he know what colour were playing in".
Bart is not himself yet this season, I'm not confident when the opposition has a corner because Bart is not coping with crosses well at all.
Harrison should have scored when he was through, but may be it was a lack of confidence but he waited...waited...waited, and couldnt finish, very poor for a striker.
To me Chambers was our best player, he was getting his head to the ball every time it got near him, and gave everything for the team.
I'm still not having fits of "WERE GOING TO GET RELEGATED", because I'm a big boy and realise this season is 5 matches in, but there is a flutter of "Paul please sort out the attack".
The biggest problem with this result is the knowledge of the "BCWYWF" brigade sitting listening hoping that we fail so they can say "I told you so" while they...well lets not go down that dark path.
Lets keep supporting this new future and not lose hope.
