League One and Two Seasons Could Be Ended Next Week
at 12:04:09

I like Cloddyseedbds idea. Just tag next season on the games already played this season so start again in the same positions with the points already accrued. So we would end up with 80 games played in total. Others could play their games in hand. It would make for a vary unusual and exciting season. Just my opinion but it would save so many arguments.

Lambert: Marcus Will Do What He Wants to Do, I Don’t Sit and Worry
at 13:43:29

I want to hear a manager say he does care, he loves it here and wants to be a big success. I want him to worry about his job and fight to keep it. This "what will be , will be" attitude does not inspire me and probably doesn't inspire the players either. I don't care what he did as a player, just what he intends to do as our manager.

Lambert: Everybody at the Club is Suffering
at 08:28:33

Don't worry guys we have a long term plan. It's not the same 5 year plan we were told about when ME bought the club or any of the subsequent 5 year plans. This is a new and exciting one. YAWN!!!!!!!

Lambert: Totally Deserved, We Dominated the Game
at 10:13:45

Please correct me if I'm wrong but my memory says that PL explained early in the season that the rotation system was making sure that all his players got games and were ready for the second half of the season and the run in. Now we are there and he has a large squad with games behind them and he is now playing a settled team knowing that he has players ready to step in when needed. Yes we had a dodgy run but we overall I think his plan is coming together at the right time.

Taylor: Massively Disappointing Because We Did Enough to Win
at 09:50:34

Doing enough to win is very simple. You score more goals than they do. Possession and near misses are nothing to do with it. Joe Royle once said "If they score 4 we will score 6"" which was a bit cavalier but it really is that simple. For god's sake lets play a first 11 week in week out and get a TEAM moulded instead of this disjointed bunch who never know if they will be playing or who they will be laying with.

Lambert: Just Another Game, You Win Nothing in November
at 14:13:35

I sincerely hope we win but I have this nasty feeling in my gut that Wycombe will be too good for us and the gap will grow to 8pts. Prove me wrong town, PLEASE.

Lambert: Club Has Moved On an Incredible Amount But Still a Lot to Do
at 12:52:00

He may seem like he's blowing his own trumpet but the guy deserves to. He understands the fans and the club. All the fans ever wanted was to see their team playing the Ipswich way and attacking. 12th in the Championship with crowds of 12 to 13 thousand and being booed week in week out for such negative football. Now in league 1 playing the right way and attracting massive away support and around 20 thousand at Portman Road. Why could MM and ME not understand what the fans wanted? We don't expect miracle but we want to see good football.

Lambert: It Could Have Been Three or Four
at 10:23:54

Sorry Mr Barton your players didn't fail to play at their best, they weren't allowed to. We bossed that game and you got away lightly.
Cooper4england you went and mentioned the budgies. Whilst the pinkun constantly talks about us the budgies rarely get a mention on here but you've gone and done it. IT WAS FUNNY THOUGH!!!

What the state can't show is the fact that his shorts would be level with everyone else's shoulders. The man's leap was immense..

Wark: Just Like One of Mine!
at 13:00:11

Warky was awesome. The defenders never knew where he was and he was always making late runs and finding space in the box. I believe his best season was 38 goals and that was at the highest level.

Lambert: We're Getting Most of Them Back
at 12:50:59

I just wonder if, in the past, the team would have been told "they're in a false position, they're a really good side". Now hopefully the message will be attack, attack, attack.

Lambert to Make Changes as AFC Wimbledon Visit Portman Road
at 12:17:58

I'd rather we played out best team consistently and pick up as many points as possible. If players get injured or suspended then worry about that when it happens. Getting points on the board must be the priority. Chopping and changing the team will cost us points and those injuries & suspensions may not happen for ages. I'm still a huge believer in a settled side playing together bringing the best results. How many points could we drop by worrying about what might happen?

Lambert: No Complaints About Result But Some Positives
at 10:17:11

Are we all forgetting that Luton changed their entire 11 players last night. It shows how much better their squad is than ours. With so many injuries and now our only league goal scorer out for a month things are not exactly rosey are they.? I fear now that the same old pattern will emerge, a cup exit following by a run of poor league results. The first team (if we can call it that yet) are hardly shaking in shaking in their boots worrying about their team places after last night.

Lambert: Downes is Getting Better and Better
at 12:41:10

Talk about sticking him in the shop window. We need to keep quiet or lose yet another promising player. Has ME suggested we sell to get some funds in?
As for Wolfenden I was gobsmacked that he wasn't used last season fro day 1.

Lambert Expresses Transfer Frustrations: It's the Way the Club's Run
at 12:24:48

This is no surprise to me. I now work very near PR and have walked around the stadium twice recently. It looks so run down and tatty . It seems that we can't even afford a few pots of paint these days.

Norwood: Town Move Has Reinvigorated Me
at 11:31:52

There's lots of good noises coming from the players but I have to say I've never been so worried about a new season before. I just have this horrible feeling in my gut that's it's just not going to happen. I'd love us to bounce back at the first attempt but I'm fearing another disappointing season. The start is crucial.

No Cash Turnstiles at Home Games
at 17:06:01

I am one of those who can't pre plan to be at a match but I do on occasion just turn up. Having to go and buy a ticket is off putting and I can't see why cash or even touch card payment can't be done at the turn styles. Does ME not realise that some people's lives are not as free and easy as he thinks. Over a season how many will he lose through this I wonder? I'm not moaning because I will still on occasion go but I'm more likely to say I can't be bothered now. I'm not lazy, I just don't have that much free time to plan ahead or to get to PR early to get the ticket. I just go if I have the time and fancy going.
I'm sure there are many fans who don't bother these days because it's not made simple.
We need to get people in the ground so that they come again. Decades ago you could turn up at half time and walk in for free and I know of several people who became regular supporters after watching a couple of second halves for free and getting hooked.. Get the people in the ground - don't deter them.

Lambert: Performance-Wise I'm Really Pleased
at 12:24:23

Christiand I think having read Mr Town's comments he was referring to Paul Lambert's views and not the team performance. I too thought PL's appraisal was very similar to many that he gave last year. He very often said we'd played good football and he was pleased with the performance yet we were relegated by a country mile.
I hope things are on the up now but the comments from PL do you leave a feeling of da jar vous.
