Ipswich Town 0-0 Brighton and Hove Albion - Match Report
at 17:54:08

Town were much better than I expected them to be, and pinged the ball pretty well at times, with a very threatening 15 minute period in the second half. Very little of the expected hoof ball.

Brighton were poor on the night, with very little of the creativity we have come to expect. It would have been far from harsh had Town scored the one goal their overall superiority clearly merited.

A poor game for sure, but the Blues really ought to have won.

Do Town Have What It Takes To Go All The Way?
at 10:52:05

Reading these comments post-match Just goes to show what a funny old game we all support. We all do it: absurdly high expectation levels after a few good results, followed by equally absurd pit of despair criticism after a defeat.

Fair enough! I used the wrong term to describe this page - sorry!
Now, if you can just answer the original question re your saying that TWTD

" ...is actually the most used football website in this country, bar none, and is among the top websites there are"

I'll be very interested to see your evidence. Or isn't there any?

TWTD is among the top websites? Most used in the country? Not sure of your sources here - please do share!

"brighton eye... for you to criticise what is actually the most used football website in this country, bar none, and is among the top websites there are is rather churlish of you. can only assume that its much better than ur own clubs website or why would you be on here neway."

However, the TWTD Forum (ie the bit you're reading now) is extremely limited in its features, functionality and layout. Why use only a third of available screen width? It's hard to get very much on screen. Page layout is very jumbled, and ugly. Features commonplace everywhere else - like 'search', hyperlinks and uploading pictures - aren't available here. Yet ITFC fans seem to accept it, imagining that what they've become used to must automatically be the best. Bit like their attitude to their club's worryingly invisible 'owner' and his out-of-depth chief executive. Complacency is any fan's worst enemy.

TWTD? Those indeed Were The Days, but things have changed in recent times, for our club, and yours. And if you look around - for example Bristol City, Charlton, Palace, Cardiff, even puny little Brighton's North Stand Chat - you'll see that other clubs' fansites have moved on too.

Oh, those gay jokes. Those Were the Days my friend.

Speaking of which, isn't it time you all got yourselves a better looking message board? This one seems so narrow-format and limited - old-fashioned even. Even Crystal Palace's BBS is better than this, and shows what can be done!

Apart from that, thanks for some decent responses. Always had a soft spot for Ipswich - hope you guys have a decent season this time round.

The facts speak for themselves. Try seeing it from the player's perspective:
Ipswich? Manager Jewell, Chief Executive Clegg (Olympics man), Owner Mr Anonymous, Stadium creaking, STHs 13,000, Gates ~18k. Ambition: ??? Relocation: Ipswich

vs BHA? Manager Poyet, Chief Executive Barber (Exec Director at Spurs, FA...)Chairman Bloom (media savvy), Stadium brand new, now being extended to 30k), STHs 23,000, Gates 20k last season. Ambition: high. Relocation: Brighton

The days of Muhren and Thyssen are long gone. So is the Withdean. Our clubs have both changed. In different directions.

So, which one would any decent player instinctively prefer to join?
