You must have watched a different version to me ! It was pretty much all you united and then as the OP said just a small bit about Delap and Hutchinson! The girl was asked if she thought we could stay up and replied by saying we would have to keep Delap and Hutchinson injury free.
Really biased coverage without saying how well we played. Sky Sports coverage was very different!
I'm usually XL but ordered a size up 2XL for the black shirt and it was a good size for me. As a result I've just ordered a 2XL for the new home shirt. I'm overseas so won't get it for a few more days.
Haven’t been to Laos it’s on my bucket list though having been to Thailand Myanmar Cambodia and Vietnam ! Heard lots of good things about it so will have to pay it a visit. Off to India in April/May for a month . We were promoted last year while I was in Vietnam so hoping the same thing happens while I’m in India !!
If it's a choice between the two I would chose Vietnam. Have been to both and spent a month in Vietnam last year. An amazing country and people. Cambodia is good too. Siem Reap to see the amazing Angkor Wat and Phnom Penh where the killing fields are a must visit. A day at Angkor Wat is plenty but get a guide.
With Vietnam Saigon has the edge over Ho Chi MInh for me but it depends on how much time you have for the rest of the country as there are so many great places to visit.
Oh really ! Sorry to hear that you lost her. I can't remember which month I left in 1978 but I think it was around spring time or early summer so our paths might have crossed.
It was in Rope Walk when I left and I went back for the Christmas parties at least the next two years so it was still there around 1980. I don't know when it moved as I left the UK in 1982.
Worked with Nick, as he was then, at the Ipswich Dole Office from 1976 to 1978. He was a good lad and a few of us used to pop over The Dove to play pool at lunch time. Can't remember the name of his band but went to see them a couple of times. After I left the office I heard he had moved to London to try and make it in the music business. Never heard more about him until after I left the the UK in 1982. I think it was 83 or 84 I looked at the charts in a UK paper one day and saw a Nik Kershaw in the top 10 ! I guessed it had to be him but with no internet in those days took a while to confirm it with a friend who had also worked at the Dole office.
He was a genuine good guy and I was pleased to see he had made it and later on watch him at Live Aid !
Oh really I’d like to look that up.Yes awful. As a parent I can’t even begin to think how someone deals with the loss of a child but to lose three is unfathomable and in such terrible circumstances.
Looking forward to seeing it but waiting for the right time. My great grandparents lived in Gatacre Road Ipswich. Four of their sons left to fight in WW1 and and only one returned. The three who didn't return were 19, 23 and 26 !
This was in the local Bermuda newspaper. Shows that not only was he a great player but also thought of as a great person all over the world.
I have many great memories of watching him play right from his home debut against WBA when he scored a cracking goal. Gone way to soon but thanks for the memories. RIP Paul.
I guess most of us expected this type of response really ! It’s such a shame that the grounds are empty at the moment because I know the fans would let Evans know in no uncertain terms how they feel. I’ve supported town for 60 years and it’s heartbreaking to see them in the position they are in now.
I’m overseas so feel frustrated that I cannot express my feelings as I’m sure many of you do too.I watched Saturday’s game on I follow and literally laughed out loud when I heard Lambert say it was a great game ! We lost to a team who didn’t have a shot on goal and he claims he couldn’t ask more from his players. The man is truly delusional. I really fear for the future of our once great club !
This response just emphasis what a really poor owner we have !
