The heat dome is supposed to be moving east to us- was 38C last week which we have seen in the past but we don't usually see >40C. Most houses in Ontario have A/C due to the high humidity in hot weather. Actually this variety in weather is one reason I like living here- ranges from -30C to 30C from winter to summer. I much prefer the cold to the heat. |

I haven't responded to posts because I am at work. I stand by my source- inside the club- and am waiting to see who "the other" turns out to be. Cheers. |

He, and other players, are not happy with PL. I don't expect any improvement in our play until the PL problem is sorted out by ME. |

I received this reply after my e-mail questioning their decision re. Phil Ham. Dear Supporter, Thank you for your email. The Club continues to have a good working relationship with Phil Ham and TWTD that goes back over many years. Our media team speak to Phil regularly through the week on a range of matters and he will continue to be given access to press facilities at Portman Road and all the quotes from the manager and players, both pre-match and post-match, that enables him to carry on providing the excellent service he does. We are sure Phil himself will acknowledge that TWTD has enjoyed unrivalled access down the years for the service it provides. Indeed the EFL has informed us that we are possibly the only League club, including Premier League, that gives media access to an independent website that includes a supporter driven forum. We stress there are no plans whatsoever for us to change that policy and we look forward to continuing to work as closely as always to the TWTD team for many years to come. The loans are administered by the banks but guaranteed by the government. No projections needed. Only stipulations are related to being a Canadian tax paying business with payroll >$50000/year. |

Canadian perspective- I run a Veterinary clinic. two of my staff are not working due to being worried about becoming sick -they are getting $2000/month-taxable- for next 4 months from the government COVID unemployment program. I can receive a $40000 interest free government loan with $10000 being forgiven if I repay the rest by the end of 2022. I can also receive a 75% wage subsidy for my employee wages if my gross business income drops by 15% over the next 2 months. We don't allow clients into the clinic- we bring their pets in from our parking lot and payment is CC over phone or e-transfer. Social distancing has been in effect for 3 weeks+ now. |

I miss it a lot! Especially Saturday mornings. Watching Sunderland til I Die season 2 is helping fill my football fix. Also miss playing football- our indoor season has been cancelled and who knows whether our outdoor season will start in late May as usual?? |

| Forum Reply | Far away fans - why do you follow ITFC? at 17:33 11 Feb 2020
Born and raised in Canada but both parents were born and raised in Ipswich. Starting following ITFC in 1981 after my uncle sent me a UEFA Cup magazine/programme. At that time all I could get was the score a day or two after each game in the Toronto Star newspaper. All but my immediate family live in Ipswich area now so I can combine a visit with them and a game or two at Portman Road. The North American Supporters group used to hold an annual "general meeting" in Las Vegas where we would listen to a game live sitting in a bar or hotel lobby at 6-7 AM. As bad as things are with ITFC now I won't stop supporting them and look forward to the next game I can attend in person. COYB! |

2-1 away win at Craven Cottage February 2015, flew over with my youngest son - his first ITFC game-and went straight to the game. Great atmosphere- we "missed the boat" of fans arriving along the Thames. |
