Former Lincoln Defender Wilson Training With Blues

The reality is when you buy a football club you have to be prepared to fund it unless you are in the Prem. Evans doesn't want to do that that now the crock of gold is out of reach and he is treading water waiting to offload. Unfortunately, what he has left us with is a crock of something else.

I know people can't cope if you criticise the owner or the manager but what is happening here is a complete lack of ambition. We've signed an unproven striker at this level (and how did we do that, was nobody else in for him?) and a very tall keeper who should have been earning a fraction of Bart's freed up wages. There won't be any Premier league loans of substance, that costs money. The boy from Everton just wants a club and they don't want him. We will soon get the Financial Fair Play smokescreen drifting across forums but as we know that can be overcome. Evans just doesn't care anymore. And all those who seem resigned to the situation please wake up with both eyes open.

Lambert: Garbutt Will Be an Asset
at 14:55:37

This BS just has to stop. The guy is a journeyman pro who cant find a club. I understand building his confidence but this description makes him sound like Barcelona have made a huge error not signing him. Let's hope he makes it with us then we can sell him to the Spaniards for £100m. And Suffolkboy I just don't see any evidence being able to trust Lambert's judgement, we got relegated by a country mile remember.

Town Reported to Have Rebuffed QPR Judge Bid
at 13:13:06

Blueandtrue, no not for one moment. Of course he's aware of all this, there was a sense of irony in my post. You only have to read the original comments from Lambert, they are just gibberish. That's what I hate, the hypocrisy, we are great supporters according to him, unbelievable, more than the club deserves and yet he'll spin a line about not knowing what's going on in the hope that we will swallow it.

Yes, let's just support the team, stick our heads in the sand and ignore everything that's wrong about the club. And if we put fingers in our ears and go la la la everything will be fine. La la la la la la la...…. is it OK yet?

Town Set for Mings Windfall

Every club outside the Premier League is supported by its owner, we are no exception, Evans knows that. Now we have to feel sympathy, sorrow and pity for him because his plan has failed. None of this money will be reinvested, it will just head toward whichever arm of his empire owns us now and assist with their cash flow. Anyway, let's look forward to League 1, consolidation and 2 or 3 seasons to build ourselves back up to a promotion contender. FFS.

Lambert: I Don't Know Anything About QPR Interest in Judge
at 18:55:39

This is the greatest illustration of our downward spiral, no money available for transfers at all. The strategy of blooding youngsters is no more than a smokescreen for use what you've got. Lambert is still peddling this little bit of help nonsense and distancing himself from knowledge of transfers... which can only mean one thing.
He doesn't want the blame for any departures or lack of recruitment. It's the lies and the BS I hate.

Could we have a little less hyperbole please, PR Paul? I don't really think it's going to be 'huge', it's important and maybe even significant but 'huge'. Come on. And where's the big announcement you promised us toward the end of the season....still waiting.

blues, I really don't care when you think he should sell - I was stating a fact that he has been trying to do just that already. Your statement about selling in your previous post was rather ambiguous so don't try to wind me up with your pompous accusation - no wonder there's so much animosity on here.

blues, my opinion is that there 's a difference between the story being told and the reality. All the time we hear about how he is personally keeping it afloat with his own money but as you must know we were the biggest selling club in the Championship to subsidise losses and we will soon become the biggest selling club in League 1. We may have a football man between him and the manager but not an administrator, not a Chief Executive - that's madness, but of course may be because Evans wants to make all the management decisions now, I suspect. That's a recipe for failure. He has been trying to sell for a while but there aren't any buyers so I'm not sure where you get the view that he will decide to next year if we have a poor season? Listen blues, you have your view of what's real and I will have mine and we will agree to disagree. I don't think this is meant to be a forum for a dialogue between people but hey I hope you have seen my point of view and considered it, as I have yours. Everyone on here has one thing in common (we hope) to see our club succeed but I am not willing to blindly follow.

blues & dozzell the problem for me is that the management of the club since Evans took over has been really poor because I don't believe Evans understood what he was taking on. Poor choice of managers, hopeless executives, a crumbling stadium and a drop to the third tier of football are all the direct result of the owner's policies or lack of them. So far from wishing to congratulate him for having a sell on clause in a player's transfer agreement (something every club will do) I'm looking at the bigger picture which is that our club is teetering on the brink. Anyone who buys a Championship club knows that they will have to put significant money into it on a regular basis, that's a given. He thought he could get promotion quickly and failure to do so has meant he has pretty much given up on that aim and is treading water, unsuccessfully. I do believe he is being economical with the truth, just look at the constant message about his constant investment when our transfer income is what's supporting the club's finances and our wage bill is nowhere near the top or middle teams. This is the overarching situation that taints everything that goes on at our club. You can believe what you like and I will see what I see. Are there any positives other than we still exist?
