Manager Cook Sacked
at 20:37:46

Paul Cook has been out of his depth since being appointed. He is not of the calibre of past managers even in recent past - McCarthy and Lambert were much better qualified to lead Ipswich. I do not know who should succeed him but I do know that Paul Cook was not for the Town.

Barnsley Linked With Downes
at 21:21:24

I understand what you are saying moggas but it really depends on the tone of the words from Paul Cook to the players. I think it has proven to be completely de-motivating and he will need to replace all of the players. If he gets it wrong his job is on the line.

Power of Motivation
at 18:04:06

I enjoyed the read - thank you LegendRay. I like your comparison of the positive/negative aspects of the managerial style of our Managers. At the moment, I feel very uncomfortable reading the negative comments from Paul Cook both pre and post match and he has gone unrelentlessly into the negative motivator strategy category. I believe this is very high risk but am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and await like all of us for a consistently improved performance from the team.

Here We Go
at 16:14:09

Thank you tractorboykent I enjoyed reading your very balanced blog. Like you, I believe, all should now pull together as it is dispiriting to read so many negative comments on a daily basis. I was worried that the new owners would close the Academy but from what I have read this could not be further from the truth. Likewise there seems a reassurring sense of a step by step process to reach the ultimate aim of stability in the Premiership. Thank you again for sharing your balanced view.

Ipswich Town and the Rotten Kitchen Cupboards
at 11:32:20

A most enjoyable read. Thank You. I think we will all be more comfortable as we approach Christmas and Town are sat in the middle of the table and making headway towards 50 points. Thereafter I think we can push on, play with real freedom with a view to a very successful 2019/20 season.

Updated: McCarthy’s Future to Be Clarified "Well in Advance" of Early Bird Deadline
at 15:09:21

My reading is that Mick McCarthy will stay hence the phrase "..... what is best for Ipswich Town". Irrespective of what some fans or the local press think. ME believes he knows best and I will be surprised if MM leaves having read this piece.
