| Blog Comment | Holders Defeated in Front of Record Crowd at 17:46:52
I used to smoke back in those days, it was so packed in the North I couldn't get to my fags. A turnstile broke as well. We took it in our stride but post Hillsborough it was really dangerous and would not happen now. They were great days to be a town fan. |
| News Comment | Danish Clubs Eyeing Knudsen at 12:37:53
Same rubbish based on gut feeling other then the facts that led to MM leaving and look where that got us. Decent enough for Denmark to take to the World Cup but not good enough for us because someone crosses the ball. He us a full back (usually) he is not going to be successful against every attack it's the nature of football. |
| News Comment | Dyer Coaching England U20s at 18:25:50
Considering the ethnic and cultural make up of football particularly from the late 70s it does seem strange that this is not reflected in management? |
| News Comment | Leaked Audio Reveals Details of Keane's Row With Walters and Arter at 10:03:02
Footballers tend to get put on pedestals from an early age managing 25 of them at any given time is no easy feat. I don't think Keane is particularly any different then a lot of managers and coaches. If they weren't to challenge players about behaviour and attitudes they wouldn't be doing their job and yes they may get it wrong sometimes but if they didn't do it then the tail would wag the dog. |
| News Comment | Town Make Interview Offer to Poundworld Staff at 08:57:08
Just employers taking advantage of cheap labour. The young ones don't even get £7.20 an hour nor a proper contract. Wrecks whatever benefits they are entitled to as well. No proper training no prospects etc |
| News Comment | McCarthy: My Future? I'm Sick of Talking About It at 14:31:52
He is a very decent man who doesn't deserve this, history tells me unless we have a sudden huge financial boost (and that doesn't come without consequences) changing manager is more likely to begin a downward cycle (unless we strike lucky) that who knows where it may end. As a club we should be pushing the boat out to keep him. |
| News Comment | McCarthy Denies Aiming Tirade at Fans at 16:30:19
A great derby game could have won could have lost, oits of passion MM does a great job on rubbish resources and some fans need to get a life. |
| News Comment | Town Draw Sheffield United at Home in FA Cup at 22:09:45
I love Third Round Saturday had some great and not so great days but come on town fans some of you sound so unhappy. A very lucky away win against Wolves many years ago led to our first semi final a perfectly good goal for Bristol Rovers would have knocked us out in 78. You have be in it to win it and our team can beat anyone bar a few on its day and that's why I love the cup. |
| News Comment | McCarthy: Sorry for Swearing But Otherwise No Regrets Regarding Post-Burton Comments at 17:52:44
He can only manage the team the best he can with the resources given. As fans we need to be careful about what we think is happening elsewhere? If you read other forums from the premier right to what I call the old fourth division unless a team is winning everything they say very simular things. A few exciting highlights of a game are not the full picture. There are certainly teams with more money then us but it's not a given they are top. Money bags wolves lost in to no money QPR on Saturday. Sunderland Borough Norwich Villa all have parachute money but nether are running away with it. The championship is a tough gritty league to get out off and if we have any chance ourselves I would prefer a bit of MM arrogance guiding the team. |
