Edwards: We Understand Fans' Frustrations

You are one of the lazy uninterested players that make us what we are.

Ipswich Town 0-1 Sunderland - Match Report
at 09:02:28

Live on Sky, same expectation, same result. One up front using a striker that can't control the ball, can't hold the ball up, no football brain, but can run fast. Lambert will never play 2 strikers working off each other while he is still here. When we were down to 10 men it was damage limitation and to be fair they battled well. Jackson you are a headless idiot. You are not up to this level of football. Players fought like they haven't for a long time, but still too many weak links. Dozzell for me is lightweight and lazy and does not contribute enough in what is a very important role. Nolan another that does not contribute enough, I forgot he was on the pitch until the commentator mentioned his name long into the game. As for Huws who's not even in the squad and done nothing this year or last, cancel his contract, pay him off. He is taking up a valuable squad number. Edwards another one, bit player, hot and cold, mostly cold. Contributes very little and another lazy player. Too many part bit players in a team that is as disjointed as hell. 2 marauding fullbacks that can't maraud. Both don't have the legs. Two centre halfs inexperienced that always have a mistake in one of them per game. Woolfy sorry mate, your far too casual and not as good as you think you are. You need to work harder and concerntrate more. You are no better than last year. A new manager I am sure could install the work ethic, team shape, tactics into this motley crew. Drinan and Jackson should have started as a pairing last night, then maybe, just maybe Jackson wouldn't have been running around so much like a headless chicken and committed the sin of letting everyone down so early on in the game. Looking forward to 11 on the pitch and a new manager.

Once again highlights dominated by the opposition team. A lot of our players are slow, lacking movement and motivation. This can't be allowed to continue.

Mills: This is Truly Dragging Its Feet Now
at 12:31:57

WhoisJimmyJuan. Butcher and Dyer and Mick Mills given an advisory role at the club for me is the way forward on a crap budget that will be handed to any manager from Evans. Klug does not like being kept given the care taker role and has no plans to move into management, he told me that when I met him just after the last time he did it. I also agree that Chambers, (as much as I like the man off the pitch) Skuse and Huws need to be removed from the squad next season. We need a management team with a connection and passion for our club and a desire to get us back to where a club with our facilities should be.

Mills: This is Truly Dragging Its Feet Now
at 12:06:51

10 out of 10 Mick. You realise what this club means to a still huge fanbase for the division we find ourselves. Not because we are rubbish fans and keep complaining but because we don't like to see our club going downhill so fast and being badly run since the arrival of Marcus Evans. Managers have all been given a chance but have all failed badly for maybe the common denominator in the owner. We are stuck between a rock and a hard place with Evans as our owner. I can only see us staying in this league with continued inept performances or worse continuing to go down the leagues. Evans is now not the right owner for this club but we can't get rid of him. Lambert and his coaches are not going to get us out of this league but the owner won't/can't relieve them of their duties. The players we have are obviously not motivated by the management team and are the injury crisis I feel has a lot to do with how the club is run and the players feelings towards it. What a flaming mess. Mick Mills you are spot on and I praise you for having the guts to come out and say it. Your statement alone has far more clout than supporters feelings on TWTD's.

Taylor: A Couple of Clubs Interested in Donacien, No Further Additions Currently on Cards
at 17:04:43

Sends out a message that if no clubs are interested in any of our players, it's either:-
1) Football clubs are all skint and have serious financial worries which is understandable, or
2) None of our players are as good as they think they are.
3) Mixture of both.

Taylor: Signings Will Give Us Positivity and Impetus Going Forward
at 19:49:49

I like the sound of these 2 players but am I confident Lambert can fit them into the team and get the best from the team? No. He's been here a long while now and team selection, tactics, motivation and getting the best out of players at his disposal has never been good. I'd love it if these 2 were put in their preferred positions and lifted the team and we ripped up the league but I'm not at all confident with the manager and his coaching team at all. Desperate for my thoughts to be proved wrong. COYB's

Lambert Dismisses Dressing Room Mutiny Claim
at 18:05:28

When Lambert 1st arrived I saw a manager pacing up and down the technical area, shouting directions and orders to all the players and wanting to kick and head and pass every ball himself. He was leaner, fitter and his appearance was sharper and smarter. Now I see a manager who looks completely baffled by what is in front of him and constantly siding up to his number 2 Taylor. His demeanour has changed, he has put on weight, can't be bothered to shave and looks scruffy. His motivation from technical area has disappeared and he comes across as having no answers to what is in front of him. If I was a player just looking at him would remove any motivation I needed. He's lost and out of his depth and looks and acts like it. If Evans can't accept that fact but is hanging onto him because of his long contract I fear the worst for our once great club. If a manager doesn't come across as wanting to turn things round and lacks fire in his belly it's time to go. What's more he doesn't come across as he'd give a damn, that can't be a good attitude to have in management.

Lambert Facing Dressing Room Unrest - Report
at 16:47:05

Butcher and Dyer in asap and Paul Lambert must be relieved of his job. The discontent of the fans and players has to be addressed and is/has affected the on field performances. Yes we have many injuries but the team tactics and motivation of however is selected has been poor for a long, long time. If player power is creeping in who better to recognise it and deal with it in the appropriate way than Butcher and Dyer. Players work under the manager not the other way around, Discipline and respect needs to be restored and asap. I believe given right team selection and tactics and motivation, this motley crew could be reguvinated, especially if a little help is given and a few leave and one or 2 of the right sort arrive. But time is ticking for this season. Mr Evans sort this mess out, it is of your making, not the fans.

Woolfenden: We’ve Got to Start Playing to People’s Strengths
at 21:19:10

For those that say Woolfy will be the next captain of ITFC. I think no he won't he'll be long gone, to a club that will improve his career. Honest comments from him that will give Lambert sleepless nights. Lambert hasn't a clue how to move forward and improve this squad of players. Lower league clubs have more organisation and fight and play better than we do. We are an embarrassment.

Ipswich Town 2-3 Swindon Town - Match Report
at 21:41:50

Tactical shambles with no attacking threat whatsoever. Full backs poor in defending and not able to attack and support. Wide players couldn't get supply crosses in or beat 1st man, but that is normal for us. Huws needs shipping out, looks like he's running in treacle and can't be bothered. One up front with little or no supply. How many shots did we have? Poor display but one we have been accustomed too for too long now. Players maybe coming back but tactics and coaching won't change. No good enough manager and coaches. Time for a change. Lets get the desire back to want to win a game at all costs, with this set up we will win nothing. The club is going downhill, has been for years, I can't see no light at the end of the tunnel.......pathetic.

O'Neill: We're Looking to Add in January But Salary Cap Restricts Us
at 12:39:18

We find ourselves in a poor league with a poor playing squad with a poor manager, with players who many of them on higher wages contribute nothing as they are always injured. Add to that the spend cap so we can't sign anyone any good and can't sell anyone as they aren't very good or injured. We have a club with huge overheads in running costs and a ground we don't own and a debt to the owner of nearly £100 million. Our younger players aren't strong enough or good enough and our older players are either injured all the time or nearly past it. I'm trying to see some positives of ITFC football club for us fans or why players would want to come here, but can't. We are where we are because of the owner and his policy's over the years. Not the fans fault. Can't really fully blame the manager as he is employed by the owner. Where do we go from here?.......more likely down than up in my opinion. Much as it galls me to say so.

Town Confirm El Mizouni Recall
at 09:27:37

Bert. I agree. What is going on with the walking wounded during the time no games are being played. Are we going to be told they haven't been able to fully train because of Covid, so when play resumes non of them will be any further forward with their recovery. Limited news coming out of the club at present so it would be a good chance to keep our interests going. Phil have you been let back into the fold yet?

BettyBlue. I'm sorry to say I have to agree with you on this one. We have a lot of youngsters who people rave about but are they good enough, I'm not so sure either. A lot of them are now in their 20's or not far off and should be ahead of where they are now. I agree a lot of our younger players are lightweight and not setting the world alight. A lot of them have been given good chances but to my mind haven't improved much. Management or coaching......I question both when they get in and around the 1st team.
