Town Survey Fans on Tannoy
at 15:20:34

Pleased they are asking fans for their opinion on the experience. The survey should have included a lot more. The service for food and drink at half time in Sir Bobby upper was awful, the queue was so long, so many people didn't get food or drink because they were queueing for over 15 minutes. I believe they only had 1 member of staff serving, but cant clarify as never got that close to the front of the queue to see.

Lankester's Cambridge Move Confirmed
at 17:04:16

Grow our own.

Which of our youth havn't been given an extended chance? I'll give you Nydam, but apart from that, they've all had plenty of opportunites to impress.

They've been here 3/4 or 5 years in some cases. In fact i'd say they've had more chances because they are from the academy. Think how many chances and managers Kenlock has had to impress for example?

I would hardly call Evans and Burns journeymen either.

Town Reject Bournemouth Bid For Jackson - Reports
at 18:29:07

With regards to the comments about salary cap and not being able to reinvest the money if we did sell him. Peterboro sold Toney who would have been a high earner at Posh. They have subsequently bought in Johson Clarke and Szmodics, neither i'm guessing are on 'cheap' wages. They paid around £3m for the pair. There are deals and good players to be had, with the right scouting. Jackson is a good player at this level if played in a 2. Not sure Lambert will go that way this season, but a good option from the bench. I'd keep him unless we get £3m and then reinvest in a replacement.

Town Make Return to Lincoln Aiming to Finally End FA Cup Woe
at 17:04:52

Rranger makes a great point. In fact we are playing 3 games in 6 days. The other 2 games are league games against 2 sides in the top 6, the last game against our nearest rivals. If anyone thinks any of our players will be playing in all 3 of those games they are delusional. Yes, maybe we should have played a stronger team in original tie. However, there is no way the likes of Norwood, Jackson, Chambers or Skuse will be playing tonight. Can you imagine if they play tonight it goes to extra time? They will be f***ed for the game Tuesday against Wycombe if they've played Saturday aswell. Play the fringe players and kids tonight, hopefully be good enough and save the 1st teamers for the priority of the league.

Also, this resting of the players now, will bear fruit come the Xmas period when the games begin to pile up, we will be much more refreshed come that period and the 2nd half of the season, when other clubs have flogged their players.

Sections of Ground Closed for FA Cup Tie
at 09:12:37

I was going to bring 700 guests along to this game. But now they are closing some sections, i don't think i'll bother. Even tho there will be plenty of space in other areas of the stadium Big mistake from the club in my eyes.

Lambert: The Good Teams Always Bounce Back
at 12:15:10

Pilgrimblue - I'm not missing the point, I agree that provided they were both fully fit, I personally would have started both Huws and Keane yesterday. Dissboy point and others is that they are angry about the postponement and we should have played last week. I'm saying had we played last week, we would've been without Norwood, Downes, KVY, Wilson, Judge, Dobra, Georgio and Dozzell. so it makes the decision to postpone it correct.

Dissboy - Thanks for the down mark. You are of course entitled to your opinion but I'm intrigued, do you really think we should of played Wycombe last week, with Norwood, Downes, KVY, Wilson, Dozzell, Judge, Dobra and Georgio all missing?

Lambert: The Good Teams Always Bounce Back
at 08:36:35

I see all the negative p**** are back. 1 defeat and they can't wait to get on here and moan. We are top of the table with a game in hand, sort yourselves out. All the posters saying we shouldn't have cancelled last weeks game. This game and defeat shows exactly why we should have postponed last weekend! We would of been taking on Wycombe who are 2nd in the table, without Norwood, Downes, KVY and Wilson. So it makes Lamberts decision to postpone it absolutely correct. Our squad is nowhere as strong as people make out, so any absentee's let alone 4 of our better players make us significantly weaker. Roll on Wednesday.

Evans on Relegation, New Arrivals and the Promotion Challenge
at 11:50:57

We have no money, it's not what i or any other fans want to hear, but it is the reality of a football club outside the premier league. I'm not sure Marcus is as cash rich as some fans make out. Of course he is compared to Joe Public, but not in comparison to other owners. Until the respective governing bodies get together and drip feed a lot more finances down the football pyramid, this is where we are. We spend a lot more money than we earn, it's simple economics, and until we 'earn' more, we can't spend. He states that he is continuing to invest in the academy, and i think he's seen that we need to find a couple of young players that we can sell to the premier league for big money, and i'm talking £20m, that is what he is gambling on, hopefully it will pay off. Having said all that, its good to hear that there is money available for 2 or 3 transfers, so hopefully when Prem and champ window shuts tomorrow, things will gather a bit more pace. Bring on Sunderland!!

Fourth Sell-On Windfall for Blues as Moore Completes Wigan Move

Wirral - The league 1 transfer window shuts on September 2nd, so we still have 4 weeks to bring in players. It may be that we are waiting for the premier window to shut, before we buy/loan players surplus to their squads.

73 - That link was correct of this morning. I'm calling you out, because you are making stuff up. I'm happy to have a discussion with posters, but people who lie to make their point are infuriating. So show me your betting slip where you placed a bet on Ipswich not to go up at 20/1, and i will happily bow down to your superior knowledge and apologise to you. Until then for the 3rd time, you did not place a bet on Ipswich to not get promoted at 20/1. It takes a big man to admit when they've lied, and i would have more respect for you, if you admitted you made it up. Do it you will feel a whole better. Chin up buddy!

73 - Picking numbers out of the sky!! Hahahaha That is rich coming from you. Here is the link from Sky Bet to show we are currently 4/11 to not be promoted.

You clearly didn't look very hard. Now I've backed up my statements, you are still yet to.
I'll say it again, you did not place a bet on Ipswich to not be promoted at 20/1. Have a good day Buddy.

Just read this from Sunderland fanzine, seems they are more optimistic about our chances than some of our fans.

73 - Ipswich are currently 1/3 to not be promoted. You are honestly telling me they have come down from 20/1 to 1/3?? since the Leeds game? Sunderland are favs for the league and are currently 1/2 to not be promoted. The odds of 20/1 you're talking about would have meant at some point we would have been about 1/25 to get promoted. You simply did not make or place that bet. All the best buddy!

73 - I know 3 things about you. You've supported Ipswich since '73. You put a bet on Ipswich not to get promoted this year at 20/1, although you've yet to state where you got those odds as they seem ridiculous. And thirdly, you're an incredibly negative person, but that is your prerogative. Listen, i'm sure some of your points will come true others won't, but i hope you get some sort of enjoyment out of going to PR this season, whether that's enjoyment from us winning or taking pleasure from us losing but winning your bet. Good luck buddy!

73 - Harrison is still our 'reject' by your definition. Anyone who is released by a club is a reject in your book, which is utter rubbish. Somebody earlier pointed out all the 'rejects' we've had over the years who've gone on to do well.
Where did you get the odds of 20/1 on us not to be promoted? As you say Bookies never get it wrong, so we can discount Leicester winning the premiership then. I'm actually bored of arguing with you. Anyone who put a bet on us not to be promoted after Leeds game is not an Ipswich fan. You will undoubtedly revel in any defeat we have and i don't wish to converse with 'fans' with that outlook. So i wish you well buddy and i'm hoping you don't win your £20 on your £1 bet.

Portsmouth are now 2nd favourites despite signing one of our 'rejects'. You're arguing against your own arguement! Have you got a brown paper bag?!

ITFCsince73 - You can spin facts and figures to suit. In reality he is going to be 4th choice, behind Chambers, Toto and Wolf. So a positive spin is that we have a Welsh international as 4th choice Centre back. Negative spin is we have a Lincoln reject starting for us this Saturday. Depends on whether you're glass half full or empty kind of person. He could have a blinder Saturday and keep having blinders all season and keep his spot which would be great for us.

Dolphin - A top Centre back on a free transfer? Unlikely. Chambers is captain of the club so is going to play, so are you saying you would rather have a new centre back or Wolf? Personally would rather see LW play and continue to give our youngsters a chance. Signing this guy for essentially 1 game and emergency cover on a free makes sense.
