Mick's comments make absolute sense, until you remember he has persisted with Skuglus forthe whole season...if Bishop cannot get a chance ahead of him, to try and get the form back, then there is no hope.

Murphy was an absolute beast on Sunday, everything went through him and Ward. If anything it was the final ball into the box, that needs to improve and played deeper - as no striker holding up and providing the winger to get in the position will be able to get in the box in time!
I agree to an extent on the subs and would liked to have seen Varney replace Murphy as he was shot for the final 15 mins. Plus, Dozzell for Douglas, but this would have opened us up as I put in a post yesterday. Head says McCarthy got the tactics spot on, heart says we could have gone for it, but didn't. |

Botesdale - I don't mind players coming out with positive comments, but what he has said is a load of crap. They didn't learn anything from that defeat as we have been thrashed numerous times since.
I would rather radio silence from the squad and they put in a shift every week.
These players need to start earning their high salaries and justify why fans should pay £30 to come and support them. |

Are people forgetting Wright walking out on us when Arsenal came sniffing. His career has never recovered. Jim gave him a chance and he never really took it. Keano has done well to get rid of a high wage earner who is in it for the money. Just because he is local doesn't mean he cares!!

Olimar - I maybe wrong but I'm sure the double save was against Grimsby first game of the season not sure which season...
In regards to the blog I guess the hardest thing for Town fans is we waited patiently and excitedly as Burley moulded a team that gave us 3-4 brilliant and exciting seasons. Then with relegation the team disbanded so quickly but the expectation has remained - the current team is a very long way off in style and substance from the 00/01 squad and I believe one of the reasons why the atmosphere has struggled at PR of late.
Hopefully under Keane we can recapture the 'glory' season!!

The design of the ground doesn't help, but there are far too many people in the North that are waiting with anticipation to boo or shout abuse at a player when things are not going our way. Those guys were trying to start a bit of an atmosphere and help push the team along. Sadly it fell on deaf ears. |
