Chaplin’s second at Peterborough was superb, particularly the perfectly waited pass from Broadhead. Derby away, the goals were great obviously, but the celebrations with the players at the end, you could see they had the togetherness and belief that we could do it. Hirst at Barnsley for the strength and skill he showed followed by that feeling of total euphoria, at that moment nothing else mattered! Chappers at Barnsley, that was when I felt we were up. However, before both those goals the long and loud “Blue Army” chant whilst one of our players was having treatment seemed to galvanise the team and carry them through a difficult period of the match…..that will stay with me for a long time. |

Agree with this, the atmosphere at those two was electric, probably my favourite away games since Southend 92, however at full time at Derby the celebrations between fans and players seemed to have the belief that we were going to do it. Absolutely loved this season! |

I was there sitting in the stand just along from our 1,000s of fans on the terrace singing and swaying, quite a sight to behold for a 15 year old! I have been to 100s of away games since including Milan, Wembley play off and Arsenal league cup semi but that night at Carrot Road sticks in my memory. |

Totally agree. After the game we were crammed in the concourse shuffling towards one exit with other exits further along completely unused. A group of 5 stewards stood together chatting and laughing whilst totally ignoring the crowd. |

My daughter plays at u14 level for a local team which I coach and also at ITFC. Prior to this season we played a few times against a team who had 3 boys transitioning into girls and were much bigger and faster so inevitably were difficult to play against. Before a game you could see the difference in our girls body language and they were frustrated and angry afterwards that they couldn’t compete physically. I find the parents are fine but some of the other coaches are a little OTT, make Warnock look like a choir boy! |

Agree with many mentioned here from the modern era but I found particularly painful the 3-0 defeat at Grimsby on a Tuesday night which was Burley’s last game and it seemed to take forever to get home. |

As already mentioned: Gavin Johnson at Anfield Neil Thompson at Southend Magilton last minute v Bolton Chris Kiwomya header at Carrot Rood Christmas 1992…..actually any goal against Nodge. Simon Milton at Barnsley to bring us back to 3-3….the contents of my pockets flew everywhere and on the way out a dear old lady tapped me on the shoulder and handed me back my car keys after they had hit her on the head! The celebration at Burton the other night was pretty mad, helped by being on a terrace…TWTD! I can’t explain it but every Town goal (unless we are being tonked) leads me to celebrate like it’s my last! |

North Stand scoreboard sponsored by Broseley Homes with little spud shaped cartoon men celebrating a goal. Not in the ground but I really miss the old club shop on PR…..as a kid I was overwhelmed by the amount of ITFC treasure laid out before me! The place was more like a large cupboard than a shop. |

I agree, Blackburn home game was a big confidence boost that we could compete with the big spenders. Southend away is probably my favourite away game all these years later. Also enjoyed away wins at Millwall and Wolves with Dozzell waltzing through the defence to score. Great season and Lyall worked wonders with a very limited budget . |

I also got covered in the red anti hooligan paint whilst climbing on the fence protesting at Heathcote's foul on Craig Forrest.....my white coat was never the same again! Was also at the cup game in 1986 , lost 1-0 and there was a bit of bother on the common afterwards if I recall correctly. |
