So, over to you Mr Evans. Give us a statement of where he expects the club to be in 5 years time, and how he expects his full team to achieve it.
What does he want his next manager to achieve ? Will he be happy to have one who matches those expectations and saves him money, or one who takes risks and might make something good happen ?
What's the budget ?
How much profit does he expect from transfers ? Is he happy with current revenues through the turnstiles ? Has he reached his full potential as a football club owner ?
Has he got a couple of tickets for the World Cup Final going spare ?
And if you asked him could he give you the names of 13 of our current first team players ?
Answers on a postcard please.

I've hardly posted this season, so here goes.
That day in May was the greatest day of my life. Pride in the club and the town, passion on the pitch and in the terraces, and terrific football. We played 12 players who gave everything to win and win in style. They played Arsenal off the park and their players and their supporters knew it. You looked around, and it was as if the Blue and White Army was 100 rows deep and a thousand rows wide We must have let loose thousands of balloons. We sang for an hour before kick-off, through the game and afterwards. Bobby Robson's from one side Blue and White Army from the other side rang for hours around our end of Wembley; mixed with tears of sheer happiness and pride. And we had the greatest football manager of his generation leading us.....
Get the owner and directors secretaries cleaners you name it on the terraces in blue and white shirts and scarves. Get the new manager and his team in for that last home game to see the cup with our blue and white ribbons on it where they belong. Get the young uns on the pitch. Give the McCarthy boys and loan players something to look at and think I need to be part of this.
Sing your hearts out and get OUR club back again. The Pride of Anglia then, now and always. |

I haven't posted for quite a while. Time to break the silence briefly after MM's comments following our WIN at Burton,.
MM's an old style dour defender who'd have taken pride in snuffing out and flattening players like Celina. He doesn't like them because their talent shows when they break the rules - and sometimes make defenders look stupid by so doing.
Old Bignose seems to be very touchy, with anger boiling away underneath. There's his way, or the highway. Time for the HIghway I think Mick. Not because of the results or through lack of effort or the style of play you prefer. You just dont fit with our club and our footballing values.
After 50 plus years of supporting the Town I don't think I've ever disliked an Ipswich manager before. I've tried to be positive about him. But the dislike seems to be mutual so game on..I thought he'd had enough two seasons ago to be honest, but by all that's holy he has now..

Keep him. He's always been a player McCarthy rated and alongside Adeyemi is finally showing his potential. Sunderland was my first match of the season, so I was genuinely impressed by the team as a whole, starting 11 and subs. Like everyone Skuse played very well on Tuesday.
By the by, Freddie Sears darting about here there and everywhere looked like something out of Angry Birds. And he ruffled a few feathers too ! lol

Dad took to me my first game in 1960. Because I was only 4 we went up into the East stand rather than North where he usually stood.
I liked the red shirts the other lot had on and started cheering for the wrong team til father put me right. And I thought Ray Crawford's ears stuck out. And Portman Rd, which I could hear from our old home near the Sailors was all huge and loud and grown up, a little scary, very exciting, and warmed by boiling hot Bovril. I've loved the place ever since and always shall, win lose or draw. Ipswich til I die.. |

As Chambers himself said I think his head was in the wrong place at the end of last term due to the contract stuff.
With that and the injury behind him I'm hoping he can be a real leader this season, keeo his head up, drive the boys on, inspire fightbacks and hold the line when we're outclassed on paper but doing the business on the pitch. Jim Magilton, Tony Mowbray, Micky Mills...........
