I remember going to my first games at PR in the 80's and wondering why there were so many old farts there who just moan all the time.

So his 20 year relationship broke down, he saw his wife with another dude and sent some messages to her which weren't appropriate. Pleaded guilty, case dealt with. Not being funny, but if I was in the same shoes I think I might lose a bit of my s*** too.
As for drink driving, that's a pre-requisite for footballers these days isn't it? That was a tongue in cheek comment, just in case anyone needs clarification. |

He hasn't been convicted of domestic abuse. Have you even bothered to read any reports on the case? |

"This is why we look at actual evidence"... I'm guessing the courts already did that.
Whether you like it or not, his punishment has been served. I'm firmly in the second chance camp. It's not up to us to cast judgement on someone we don't know, about circumstances we don't fully know about.
He's made some mistakes, but I don't think we need some holier than thou, faceless, nameless upstarts on a football forum vilifying him for getting a job. I'm not actually sure why Phil felt the need to add his personal past to the story anyway to be honest. |
