and no goalkeeper has been man of the match yet. Baby steps, but that’s got to be just slightly encouraging after the last 5 years

Well that was pants. Like watching premier league standard loan players against knackered old near 40 year olds and academy graduates....
For what it’s worth
Norris - not sure about him but as the defence was so awful we’ll let him off for now
Emmanuel - oh dear
Clements - poor lad was roasted alive in the first half but kept giving his winger a 30 yard head start for some reason. To his credit buckled down and much better second half
Wilson - slightly better than chambers
Gwion - decent actually when it came anywhere near him which wasn’t often
Judge - awful
Dozzell - overrun in midfield
Huws - neat and tidy but essentially ditto
Roberts - non league
Dobra - MOM by a distance for us. Pleased he scored.
Schooled by Luton tbh. Reminded me of Brentford away last season.
‘Penalty’ really killed us, we’d just had 5 reasonable minutes and it was about the only brief period we looked like we might get into the game. They sat back after the first for a while.
If this bloke is reflective of the standard of refereeing to come god help us.

I'm wondering if Jason Roy might not be the answer at nr 3 rather than opening. Root always seems to fail when he bats there rather than nr 4. Still leaves the problem of openers but would be one thing sorted and better than Denley.

They are about to start 'losing overs' because of the rain interruption.....but have a whole reserve day tomorrow to complete the game if necessary. That one's got me i have to say.

Not touched it yet (they’re playing for a draw I think...)
|Bit of a rubbish first half|

But these days we’ve got one or two quality players that can seize on an error in a tight match. Both teams look like they’d rather be on the beach though. Still think we’ll struggle. Fans have been superb
|VAR oh dear|

I guess it can prove somebody touched someone else but it doesn’t make it a penalty every time

Did they use VAR for it? Only it clearly deflected off sissokos body before it hit his arm, if you’re pointing at something, that is a ‘natural’ way to do it, and aiming for someone’s arm/hand by an attacker isn’t that ‘natural’ I’d suggest. Still, whatever, it all sounded pretty pants anyway.

Having watched the vase and trophy finals today from the posh ish seats at Wembley.
I’d like to say he was pants, but in all honesty he did nothing at all. Just wasn’t in the game which for orients main main up front was pretty poor. Jackson and Harrison have had more influence on games for us this season than he did for them today.
Vase was good, Bontcho’s son Lubo played his part in Chertsey’s win against Cray. Kevin Lisbie played for Cray, his legs went years ago but he gave it his all to be fair.
Fylde deserved their win over orient, great free kick to win it, and was a nice sweetener for them after missing out on promotion.
