Cook to Make Changes as Town Visit Oldham For Cup Replay
at 09:36:06

Does anybody ever look at that picture of Paul Cook and think, get that man a decent cup of coffee. Why's he drinking shi*e out of a machine!

Downes: We Came to an Agreement That I Wanted to Leave
at 11:25:31

I'm actually quite pleased to see these comments - more because it shows that him being ousted to the U23's was more about his wishes than Paul Cook's, which gives me some reassurance about Cook's actions. Up to now (and I still have nagging doubts about Dozzell and Bishop's ousting) I was still feeling uneasy about the way Cook just shipped out 25 of last year's squad. Don't get me wrong, quite a few of them needed to go, but there were some good players in there and Downes was one of them.

Downes Linked With Bournemouth
at 11:33:41

I don't understand all of the comments regarding Downes' attitude not being good or what it needs to be. Maybe that's true but surely we have no evidence to suggest that. He always looked like he was giving his all last year and I don't think anybody outside the club knows what has happened to him (and the others training with the U23's) between then and now. For all of the very good signings that are being made now, the discarded players is still the point that is leaving me with a slightly sour taste in my mouth - what exactly has happened between Cook and so many players to mean they're out the door??

Doncaster Rovers 4-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 22:08:35

Jesus Christ, calm down people, it's one game. Maybe a couple of changes and then let's go again on Saturday. We're clearly still a bit of a fragile team but consistency and stability take time and calm heads, not knee jerk reactions to one off results.

McCarthy: Full-Backs Have Blossomed
at 14:10:39

The problem that most Town fans have with Skuse is not that he's a bad player - most of us would admit that he's a decent defensive midfielder - it's that he's played in a team together with Hyam at home. That leaves us looking all too negative and lacking creativity. Playing both away from home in a midfield 3 works well. At home playing those two in the middle just doesn't work for me. All I can say is long may Teddy prosper to save us from that again.

Nouble Nets Winner on Coventry Debut

Pleased for Frank but I have to say that I've seen him play enough to know that he's never going to be good enough for us. So I hope he scores loads of goals for Cov and he creates a career for himself there.

Delaney: I\'d Love to Stay But I\'ve Had No Contract Offer

Mr_Evans, yes you can. All you have to do is look at the Arsenal game at their place to realise how much we rely on Macauley and Delaney. I'd hate to be going into next season without either of them

Burnley Linked With Garvan Move
at 09:00:22

Yet another talented youngster who is being allowed to slip through our fingers because of a manager with a difficult personality. If anybody can honestly say they would rather see a midfield of Healy, Trotter and Peters (currently they're the only other options we have after the Keane clearout!?) rather than having Owen Garvan in the team you'll be in the small minority. He is the only central midfielder we have with passing ability. Am I the only one who doesn't really like the direction the club is going. We are well and truly moving away from the values laid down by Sir Bobby and George Burley (and Alf Ramsey before that) of building a team from relatively modest resources, playing good football and being a likeable family club. Instead Keane will strip the team, sign a few mercenaries, maybe get us promoted, then disappear, putting us back to square one.

Then again, maybe if we start winning I'll shut up.
