Hi I see the matches are listed on club website but not sure how up to date this is. The coverage of games, updates, line ups etc seems a bit hit or miss on club Twitter page too so wondered if there was a separate page I was missing? Several other clubs seem to have dedicated academy pages for theirs. Are Playford Rd home matches free to watch? |

Looking further depleted now, as see the Academy head of medicine & sports science left ITFC last week (said his goodbyes on his Twitter page). With Jim Henry presumably in Scotland still, surely leaves door open for whole department shake up in the summer. |

Thread | Playford Road Training Ground History?

Several stories that came out following death of Kevin Beattie included references to the training pitch at Portman Rd. Just wondering when ITFC first acquired training facilities at Playford Road and Bent Lane? I know the facilities were upgraded in 2010, but had they owned Bent Lane before that for very long? I seem to remember there being an outcry from local football about Ipswich buying up lots of pitches at the time.
No particular reason just curious, when I had to take eldest up there last season remember being surprised how expansive the sight was. Quite a difference from the grassed Portman Rd practice pitch I remember as a child. |

Was trying to read the quote on the board behind him. It’s a Vince Lombardi quote about habit, quite apt given current situation on the pitch:
