Wondered about the wisdom of going to this match but saw a lot of promise. Didn't see an Ipswich slacker on the park. There's a sense of competition for places. Didz increasingly influential as the game wore on but found Yorwerth, Emmanuel and Toure very impressive. McDonnell looked tentative and lightweight. Miles Kenlock (is it?) had a mixed night. Alabi a real handful. Some real choice and options this season, and I don't remember that for a very long time!!

I have to say, as a long-suffering Northern Town supporter of many years, that, until the last 19 minutes, that was one of the best Town performances for a long time. By hook or by crook, Paul Jewell has produced a higly mobile and combative midfield. Yes, there are still things needing attention, but I hope he doesn't panic .I have been very impressed with ALB and I think his mistreatment by Paul Jewell has been demoralizing.
