I rate chambers, like any player at this level he has his faults but he’s solid and a great leader. Didn’t rate Knudsen, his inability to pass it to a teammate was astounding. Is branding Knudsen as ‘decent’ not also an opinion? |

Right so because someone doesn’t agree it makes them a ‘football illiterate’ interesting. |

100% right mate, bread was well and truly provided and buttered by the lads. |

I think creating chances is the issue, notice a lot of times Jackson has to create chances himself. I genuinely think given the opportunities he'd score a decent total in this league, but I wouldn't be against having him and sears either side of Norwood or Keane in a 433. |

A lot of people quoting seasons from 3-4 years ago on this thread without actually taking into account the fact that these players are now older, potentially lacking in confidence, out of form. I'd definitely still play Chambers but think we have better players than Skuse. 3 years ago Wayne Rooney was at Manchester United, that doesn't make him good enough for them now. |

Very true, I don't think you should look at twtd as a place for advocating chants it seems as if every chant created by Ipswich fans is terrible but also we don't have enough original songs whilst failing to provide any good chants themselves. (as you've already mentioned) It's actually this attitude for the most part that would stop us from creating original chants. I think some people want a professional songwriter to come along and create a song that's lyrically perfect otherwise it's a no go. Ed Sheeran has time off so maybe he could create some? |

That's a valid opinion, the point I'm making is that league position affects attitudes towards cup games so it's perfectly reasonable for someone to want to disregard cups in our current position compared to if we were in mid table. |

That's the trouble, sometimes it's better to use it to generate the initial noise and then move onto another song after in the hope that people continue to join in. |

Just completely ignore context why don't you. There was no need to throw the cups when we were in mid table with nothing to play for. If we were up the top of the league no one would've cared about them but why throw a cup at the time when we had nothing else to play for? |

From what i've seen a large amount of people didn't want him to go. So I'm not sure rewriting history will be needed if he does become top scorer. |

Where did you get these stats from because my post from earlier came from sky sports match stats and there was two games with zero shots on target at home and then 9 with just 2 and then 11 of his 21 games with 3 or less. Once I get time I’ll go find them. |

I agree McCarthy did a good job on the budget constraints and to deny that would be silly. I would agree results wise it was beyond our budget however not football wise, whether they go hand in hand is subjective imo. I think yes the BCWYWF crew were right to an extent but the part they’re wrong about is regret because I wouldn’t go back to that style of football and negative atmosphere (which was both the fault of Mick and the fans). This isn’t me saying this year is better, but I wouldn’t want to go from terrible football back to terrible football, instead I hope for better in the future. The only positive of this season is the atmosphere the rest has been a complete disaster. |

There was 9 home games last season under McCarthy where we had two shots on target or less and 11 in which we had 3 shots on target or less. That's almost half of the games at home where we would only manage to muster up 3 shots on target and in two of those games we had 0 shots on target. I'm specifically responding to the part of your message about being 'entitled', I believe we are entitled to see a team attacking more at home in front of our own fans and muster up more than 2 shots on target at home. I feel you are maybe generalising, my reasons for wanting him out are as above coupled with the negative atmosphere he (and certain fans) created. It's not black and white. |

Why is it the counter argument for all of you lot is whats happened this season? Has absolutely no bearing on how boring and soulless the last few years were under Mick and I didn't mention this season in my post. |

But that is you comparing it to this season not me, it's another of example of 'just because this season has been awful doesn't make the last good'. Where is the evidence on the contrary? I was at the games and it was soulless and boring, I feel you are jumping to conclusions with your last line despite my post being only about McCarthy. |
| Forum Reply | From today's Daily Mail..... at 14:02 16 Apr 2019
Entitled to wanting more than 1 shot at home and boring, soulless football? I think it's completely fair to feel entitled to more than that personally. |
| Forum Reply | From today's Daily Mail..... at 11:39 16 Apr 2019
Define 'competitive' because as has been mentioned a fair few times in this thread we didn't win many games at all last season past august. It's sad that finishing mid table was seen as a 'great job'. Yes it's much better than this year but clearly this year has been awful. |
| Forum Reply | Zero shots on target at 13:03 12 Apr 2019
So what do you suggest we should do.. Boo the team, shout, swear, get angry. What's the point? we're getting relegated that's a fact so why not support, sing songs, have a good time. I go to football for fun not to get angry or upset. There's no guarantee we'll win the league next season but that's where we are and that's what we'll try to do - all we can do as fans is support, so why not? |
