not sure the game was as bad as mick mills said but certainly we let them have too many chances.....needs to improve saturday....intrigued as to why jackson ahead of piggott.....pace maybe?...either way we had some really good moments with some quality play....norwood not effective tonight sadly but i did like Bakinsons contribution....contrary to what some may have (not) seen....Morsy missed though.....but could Idris not have contributed ?....a few questions about selection I have to say....but not concerns...in KM we trust!!! |

Bit strong to call it cowardly bearing in mind the behaviour of the Stanley players....accepted that does not justify clacking him one and it will impact Town. However, Morsy was instrumental in Town standing strong and he was strong in the challenge throughout which, in the second half allowed town to assert their play. The Stanley players were no angels themselves....they play to their strengths and attributes which saw them dominate Town in the first 20 mins or so....as it became attritional football Stanley did resort increasingly to the darker arts of the game....whether it is accepted or not, big characters, strong players are needed to get out of this division... |

When Norwood was waiting to come on on Saturday, in true comedy fashion (maybe not!!) he limbered up like a boxer....he got stuck in, got clacked within 30 seconds then was ruffling feathers thereafter....after some of the antics we have seen at Portman Road from opposing sides, gamesmanship, sh!thousery etc and have lost or given away winning positions I welcome players who know how to mix it up....seeing TS playing for Swindon you can see he has learnt so much, in terms of how to use his strength and attributes....a League One club will take him for the rest of the season no doubt....well done to the lad for his football and conduct....he clearly has thrown himself into the loan at Swindon, all credit to him |

The element of Swindon not paying wages could have some weight to it....I would hope that TS will get loaned out again...perhaps to a L1 side that benefits us....with regard to Piggot the lad has been through the wringer over the last few months....his application and effort cannot be doubted in the few outings he has had....he will come good. With regard to Jackson, I agree with Cat, the lad obviously is rated, obviously cares....in the Pizza cup game against Arsenal his first half was excellent and he put himself about with two very well taken goals...but I accept he is moving on, best for him and the club...as other commentators have said, I trust in KM to make the right decisions, as his conduct so far has been top notch.... |

which ever way you look at it, it was poor from Town last night....I am in the patience group of fans, but last night was worse than Bolton....at times clueless, balls going backwards, too many players way off the pace (Toto, Morsy, Evans, Chaplin...)....Rotherham were a better team, but some of the basics simply werent there....points of note...like others have said, Walton a good keeper, Edmunson impressive and I liked that he went round after the game...he didnt slink off or a half hearted clap (Toto)....and Clements did not hide, he battled but he has no confidence bombing forward to get the delivery in...but he will get there because his work ethic is there for all to see. But it isnt a team, when components are missing....we have a long way to go and for the first time this season hopes of play offs have all but disappeared...you need to get a grip PC or otherwise you could be going next summer, it is a harsh reality....a twenty goal striker on the bench and at 71 mins you bring him on...?...I suppose that is better than 89 mins....the highs and lows of an ITFC ....tomorrow will be better |

To say that it is ridiculous to question the continuing management with PC, I would say evaluate the risk of giving the task of serious personnel change, player investment, player integration and strategic planning to Cook. Cook hasn't delivered on any, any of the required deliverables since commencing his duties. I hope that cook wasn't hanging his hat on getting his old number two back...and that his role was complimentary rather than critical to Cooks historical successes |

As much as one warms to Paul Cook, today I question is he as good as his record suggests...which ever way you cut this, the Town squad, on paper is a good one...but PC has not been able to play a tune with it.. not one performance so far that says yes I can see a plan, a pattern of play ...PC speaks well...but the football is not good...how come he cannot get these players to play how he wants...not one player can say they have stood up and been counted... is the malaise, the rot that deep rooted?...I've got to say I'm concerned...what happens if the club does get sold and PC states that the new ownership is not for him...very uncertain times |

hmmmm...PL knew what he was doing Friday at the press conference...flat again today at the post match media...ME in Burton...smacks of show down talks... either PL gets what he wants or at least a key player he wants or he is gone by next Saturday... PL is anything but a show pony but worryingly ME is no pussy either....PL has put ME squarely in the firing line with the town support...even the most balanced of Town supporters will question the lack of spending after the windfall money, Bart loan etc...if PL were to go, heaven help ME... on a changed note a shout for the Town support today, spot on!!! |
