True or not, I think we were told it was the player's and staff's wishes to be able to come out and celebrate with their family, which they couldn't do if fans were on the pitch. I def remember them saying there would be no celebrations of any kind for fans if fans entered the pitch and that players would just celebrate in the dressing room.
May or may not be true, but how long did they think fans would be out there for? Especially with the footage of the players drinking and celebrating in the dressing room anyway
Edit: also the (wrong) threat from stewards where I was sat that entering the pitch would get you banned which put a lot of people off [Post edited 16 Apr 22:22]

Mark Fish is definitely memorable for an almost movie-like end of career. The guy who won’t retire, finally gets a game for a new club, doesn’t even last a half, is subbed and never seen again |

I shouldn’t be given him more attention but his latest (unprovoked) post to Gab Sutton is just insanity at this point and he needs saving from himself:

He picked out another random person who was defending Gab Sutton, and posted his photo to shame him, for I guess having a lazy eye. And so most of the comments were also making fun of this random guy and how he looked.
I just can’t believe he gets so rattled by criticism (despite only seeming to give it out) that he’s literally trying to cause dogpiles on the most random of people. |

At what point is his twitter being taken away from him?
I saw Gab Sutton reached out to the young Bristol Rovers player who claims to have been bullied by Barton. Barton gets aggressive and nasty about it, eventually starts making fun of Gab’s appearance/size to all his almost 3 million followers…kind of like what a bully would do.
As Gab says, it’s lucky that he can take this, as the pile ons and embarrassment that could come from Barton abusing random people online is a bit dark. I assume Barton knows his career is over and this now pays his bills

What happened to him? Thought he was all West Ham til I die etc. Didn't pay much attention but he seemed to be starting for them whenever I checked, including European games, plus they usually give you a lot of room for improvement if you're one of their own. |

I would look on with jealousy over the past 15 or so years as teams would win game after game, march confidently towards promotion, overcome difficult opponents even in games they were poor, score 95th min winners, adopt a 'we won't lose' mentality...
Thank God for GameChanger, Ashton, O'Leary, McKenna, his staff and this squad for giving us these memories and experiences when it looked like it would never be us  [Post edited 1 Apr 21:00]

I adore Hladky, but if a player isn't in a position surely he knows/is taught to do something else. Being thrown off as a player is slightly not where you expect them is no excuse if you're reading the game |
