Hopefully he stays. His injury was a double re-occurrence that our physio team didn't pick up and should have prevented him from being ruled out for the season. This is on very good authority by the way from friends that know him in Colchester, he was incredibly angry at our physio staff for ruining what could well be his only ever shot at Premier League football. Saudi could be an option for him, so we will have to see what happens in the summer. A fully fit and motivated Sammy should bang in goals for us, if he's playing in his preferred position of through the middle.... not out wide. |

Yup. I said it at the time, he wasn't playing not because of an injury, he wasn't playing because he was caught by the police. His car got compounded, my mate works where it was held, McKenna thought it best to keep him out of the spotlight. |

Love the data! How does the club stop this from becoming a purely closed-door policy? Increase the ballot %? Does the APP reset at the end of the season taking away the last L1 season? |

Terrible signing, will take him far too long to get up to speed (as the Man City game proved) after only paying 90 minutes in Serie A since August. |

It was quite incredible seeing the clamour for Muric to start again from a lot of posters on here. Never has one mans reputation improved so much from not playing. He is an absolutely calamity of a goalkeeper, showed it on his debut at City and has not improved one bit since. Wonder how the Muric in posters are feeling now? |

Does anyone know when tickets will be available? 14 AP points so it would be nice to get into the 15 bracket with the increased FA Cup away allocation! |

Spot on, could not agree more. There's a noticeable shakiness in defence when Muric plays, and he was awful against Bristol Rovers with his feet (again). Walton oozes far more confidence in this regard, and actually defended his box well yesterday. |

+1. I think another telltale sign here is how comfortable the players were with Walton. Dara O'Shea pushes him to do the fist pumps with the crowd, Woolfy jumping on him and congratulating him after that., they just seemed so much more relaxed and at ease with Walton in goal over Muric. And, that then transcended to the whole stadium with no edgy vibes. Walton was also more vocal with the defence than Muric is, he told Greaves a couple of times he wanted the ball on his left foot after Greaves passed it to him twice on his right. Walton simply has to stay in now. |

https://theanalyst.com/eu/2024/08/opta-football-predictions Interesting to see we are still predicted to be relegated to 2nd bottom at 34%, even after the weekend's victory, rather than 3rd bottom or even survival given only a 17% chance! I find it hard to believe we would be able to grind out a 0-0 at Arsenal like Everton managed, for example. New manager bounces for Wolves and Southampton also worry me! |
