For those interested in the stats, a goal involvement every 148 minutes in league 1 last season with the vast majority of those (11/14) being goals. Like others have said, looks to have an eye for goal, be physical and technically sound so I'm positive on this one.
Also, unlike years gone by I feel like players can exceed expectation at Ipswich. McKenna made Jackson into a player out of nowhere by using his strengths, maybe we finally have a manager and coaching set up that will result in “I wish we hadn't let him go to Ipswich, look what he's doing now”. Yes should have won in normal time, but important to progress so the fringe players can have a competition to get minutes in. Clear to see those who were lacking match sharpness and hopefully getting minutes in this comp over the season will prep them for if they are needed in the promotion push.
Fraser grew into the game and bossed it in midfield tonight.

Ticks a lot of boxes this one. The type of player I had hoped Evans would be but he hasn't proven it unfortunately. An enforcer is exactly the player Harper needs next to him and we need a more assertive captain IMO.

As much as I was pleased with Penney's performance on Saturday, he got the ball in some really dangerous areas but his touch and final ball let him down. You can't help but feel that Coulson could cause serious damage in this side. Running onto the end of some of those mouth-watering Evans/Harper cross-field balls… you can see it already!

Quality signing proven at this level, yes please.
Ldnj I can see your point but I think we are operating in the sweet spot in the market. Established championship players would represent a significant chunk of the salary cap. IMO building a squad of players who are proven at this level but have the potential to step it up (most of our signings so far I would say do, shown by championship interest) is perfect. Maybe one or two players above that level but wouldn't require many more than that.
Signing players of this calibre means they still have that desire and hunger, something this club has dearly missed for so long.
Cbs and wingers now please Mr Ashton, no good having a star studded attack if the front door is open all season!

@bluesman I'm sure we are going to end up with more than 5 additional signings just that Ashton is wisely keeping cards close to his chest so other clubs can't hold us to ransom further down the line.
