| News Comment | Pigott Pompey Loan Move Close to Being Confirmed at 09:19:57
Hi i live in Maidstone and watched him play in the National League for Maidstone, he played off another striker(Zavon Hines or Jamar Loza both small and quick) so imo one up front will never work, also good at direct free kicks. Lower level i grant you. He will leave and its a shame reminds me of Kieffer Moore what happened to him.... tongue in cheek! |

Why do we seem to be in a groundhog day style loop. This already has the feel of the Paul Hurst short era, whole new team and hopeless. Though i have a bit of hope for the current crop! We need to find a style of play and stick to it. 2 up front please every game got to get on the front foot and stay on it. My patience is low as the 'time to gel ' line gets overused. Only my team Ipswich could make this new era so hard to get off the ground. Other teams let alone Norwich must be laughing their socks off at our plight! I do have one burning serious question.... Is there a team that we can beat anwhere in the football league ? Though i'm still vaguely positive it is not a stretch to actually see us drop into league 2 and yes i know its early days but i would put money on us not winning 3 games in a row all season. Paul Cook sort this out please it is your job not mine, not the other thousands of fans, not the press, it is your team now make it purr like a Roller! |

| News Comment | Sheffield United 2-0 Ipswich Town - Match Report at 19:58:58
Absolute shambles ! No thread of a hope ! As per my previous posts . Sad sad day yet again ! Lost count of how many times we kicked to no one and ball went out! I have often bemoaned our lack of strikers which is still the major concern. However I also used to bemoan a lack of any creativity !as in evidence again today! However ... however I can see now how blinded I have been it is the defence where all the blame lies they are like rabbits in headlights playing in barefoot with a hot potato! They are always capable of a mistake every other game and need the rest of the team to bail them out constantly hence any attack thereafter goes nowhere as team is knackered chasing. Then we get ball and give it away like pass the parcel ! With no goal threat or even god forbid incisive passing we are on a massive downward spiral with no easy fix ! Am gutted for the arduous journey ahead dare I say possible oblivion ! Overreacting .... am I ? I hope not ! Now for some beers ! Hope I'm wrong :) |

Simply very poor ! An inability to score at this level or any other will leave you looking at relegation... the big worry for me is league 2 is far more realist than bouncing back to the championship anytime soon ! And yes we are down and have been since we let our attacking threat leave ! We are doomed ! Watched a fair bit of national league football over the years and all teams play with heart and passion and try to grind out wins! In the premier and football league you see a different story. The top half of each league bar prem are on a par with the lower half of the league above . So you get teams stagnate and just seem happy to be where they are. Ipswich town unfortunately are not even in that position they are in a big hole and I personally worry where the bottom is !! Breaks my heart ! |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-2 Middlesbrough - Match Report at 00:06:10
Absolute shambles... 5/6 could not pass to nearest player and even worse under slightest pressure. One up front pointless... all players too lightweight and get eased off the ball far too easily...First half so poor i forced myself too watch it all... could have carried on playing for hours...no threat = no goals seemples... i watch lower league games quite regualrly and this outfit would struggle in the vanarama league... league 1 will be no easy task... i am an Ipswich fan despite my curtailed rant but i cant watch this inept negative set up it clearly doesn't work yet the boss persists...playing loanees whom are no better than our far superior kids is just snubbing and shortchanging the fans and sending the totally wrong message. Sears , Dozzell and in part Edwards showed more than the rest put together when they came on. Next year we will be league one don't kid yourself but where in 2 years ??? Changes need to happen but i fear too many poor decisions have already put the writing on the wall! Anyway here's hoping a miracle occurs and 3 teams become so poor we end up above them. My heart is heavy and i am embarrassed of what the club has become. |
| News Comment | Charlton 6-1 Town - Match Report at 11:14:18
Nothing's changed since my last post just getting slightly worse as time goes by! I haven't been to Portman road since we lost to Brentford 3-1 with ten men! The next time I go will be just so I can leave and show a certain person where the exit is !!! A few notes will be going on town going down as my heart tells me that we are definitely one of worst five teams in the league with still no direction cohesion in playing style and an inability to pass teams off the park ... gone are those days . We are gonna get some right tonkings this season.gutted as another season rolls around not looking forward to it!:( |
| News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-3 Derby County - Match Report at 21:57:02
Unfortunately ... as expected !!! Even if the manager leaves one way or another. We unfortunately have such a mish mash of players not sure anyone could turn it round this year or next . If this bunch can play football proper football then I feel the damage is too deep to repair.nearly every week it reminds of being a teenager playing football manager on a pc until you are left with low rated players and no money ! With the town in the state they are and the way the premier league greed has and is continuing to ruin football my heart is heavy. Very disappointing all round:( |
| News Comment | McCarthy: I Don’t Do Envy at 10:43:58
This is all borne from jealousy of other clubs having signed high profile names not necessarily great players, though they may have been once. Have faith in the blues to keep us up there or there abouts because we all know deep down we are not the best team in the league, but they have raised expectations for everyone with the first half of the season's results. As MM said above new players will effect whatever teams good or bad when your dropping regular players for new ones ! I don't personally think there are many better players than what we have in the division at playing the way Mick wants us to play ( not everyone's cup of tea granted ) We have recently always come on strong with the second half of the season. So I for one am looking forward to at least a play off spot and so should everyone else! |
| News Comment | Wellens: Town Players Don't Care at 17:16:27
Well through all the strife and i dare say there's more to come as i feel we haven't hit rock bottom yet. Brighter days will cometh... I for one would love to see Alan Sugar have a word with our Cleggy and Evans it would make for great viewing!!! Then let Barry Fry and eil Warnock give our players a few home truths in a darkened changing room. One by one. Still COYB FFS. |

| News Comment | Town Confirm Reo-Coker Deal at 16:25:09
Hallelulah a decent midfielder plays the short game wins the ball back and scores a few. Also captain material if anyone he is our link to progression long term the premier league. He is the best we could hope for.... the closest to Matt Holland, Jim Magilton, Romeo Zondervan, John Wark... he if we can get him long term is exactly the player we have needed since jim magilton retired. If he stays you will see our once great club return to the heights. the year we failed to beat west ham in the play offs he was instrumental . He can and i indeed hope he will do this for us. Best signing since.....Marcus Stewart ! We never beat Hull away but i seriously think we will next week. Come On you blues! |
