 | News Comment | Brentford Linked With McKenna Move Should Frank Depart For Spurs at 08:45:07
I think he had a 5 year plan when he joined us, he and his family are settled and we are still building a Premier squad, we were at least a year ahead of plan. Ipswich are a very good prospect in the medium term but failure to win promotion next season would change the situation |
 | News Comment | McKenna: VAR is Taking Away From the Game at 21:48:21
Goal line tech fine, otherwise trust the on field officials. Because of VAR they don't know how to make decisions. The on field decision is usually right, Clive F. Thomas part, and if not, no more debatable than if VAR has spent 20 mins coming up with nothing. |

We are going down with some dignity. That was a good performance once we got going. Mrs OldBoy, who has no interest in footy other than that which in inflict upon her via Radio Suffolk and my screams. She said, "you have been able to score goals against very good sides, that is something". |

Davis was disappointing, Townsend more reassuring. We need to gain some bulk throughout the team, fortunately that's just a matter of food, weights and time. I am already excited about next season. |
 | News Comment | McKenna: It's the Setbacks That Make You Stronger at 17:59:00
@mariner. That was worth reading, thank you. Your optimism seems grounded, your reflections sensible, your tone considered. The Club is on a good trajectory, viewed from 10 years hence this will seem a necessary blip. To some of us 2015 does not seem long ago. |

I don't mark people down generally. I don't block people. I don't read your posts exactly, they are far too long, I skim them and get a good sense. Say less, say more. Just an editorial critique. |
 | News Comment | Ipswich Town 0-4 Arsenal - Match Report at 11:14:50
Talking to fans of other clubs, none of them expected us to stay up and in fact have been quite complimentary about us as a Club and a team. Last season I had expected us, at a push, to be fighting for a play-off place and would have been satisfied with that because the Club was moving in the right direction. My ridiculous hope for this season was low mid table, however I can see I was deluded in that, we were not physically ready for the Premiership. Relegation with as much honour and spirit as we can is still progress, two steps forward one back, repeat. These young lads we have are going to be excellent once they have spent the Summer in the gym. My hope for next Season is top two, exciting times ahead. |
