Lambert on Blue Action Banner: I Can't Control That
at 13:09:16

Must be quiet fun living in Paul Lambert land. You simply state your options as facts a there you go; we got the new truth.

We see it every week with his delusional post-game interviews. Here is another fantastic one:

“The guys have given me absolutely everything and they're better players than they were when we first came in, that's for sure.”

Name one goddamn player that improved under your managed you absolute weapon. Downes is the only one that improved, and he is simply our biggest natural talent.
I saw one Ipswich Town player that improved drastically during this buffoons tenure and he played right-back for Hull city last Tuesday…

Lambert: We May Have to Accept Behind-Closed-Doors Games

Pretty sure Lamberts management is best suited to be kept behind closed doors. Forever.

Donacien and Rowe Set For Loans But No Moves for Knudsen
at 09:10:39

Let's not kid ourselves here. Something happened between Donacien and Lambert at Villa that left him without a snowballs chance in Hell. Same with Graham but then at Wolves. Because Graham offered f*ck all no one batted an eye. Donacien certainly didn't set the world or fire with his performances here but has been MOtM at right back at least once. Not giving him a single chance when Spence was dropping the ball week in week out is beyond not rating a player.

Almost seems like our manager put personal issues ahead of what would likely be best for a club fighting relegation. Of course, you can't suggest that here without getting about 250 down votes because Lambert has been accepted as the next greatest thing since sliced bread.

Danish Clubs Eyeing Knudsen
at 10:35:24

The problem with Knudsen is that the difference between his ‘A game' and his ‘B game' are humongous. I don't think I have EVER seen de professional footballer play worse than Jonas did at Millwall away. That includes Kieffer Moore's sup appearance at Norwich for the record. Then there are games where he is useful especially if we ever go five at the back again I would keep him around.

Overall he doesn't seem to realise we are fighting for our lives here. The way he goes at these wingers when they want to cross a ball drives me insane.

I'll shrug my shoulders if he leaves and then probably want him back at one point like we'd take Pittman & Smith back in heartbeat at the moment.

Norwich Winger Linked With Blues, Wigan and Bolton
at 14:31:24

Watched him for two years at my Dutch Club (VVV). Please don't spend to much on him. All (~ 15%) of nothing (~85%) player. I saw that first half in last years derby as well where he raped Spence and yes he riped Chambers up in the Wigan away game the year before but a broken clock is right two a day as well.

Sunderland Set to Confirm Ross as Town Prepare to Formalise Hurst Move
at 10:55:39

No matter how you look at the situation it was handled poorly. I get that we try to be respectful and all but meanwhile Sunderland talk to a manager behind the clubs back and get things done. We have a job offer that gets ~ 100 applicants and 60 days in we are down to ‘one' candidate that we haven't spoken to yet. How? I can only image Hurst his agent is pissing himself with laughter as he increases terms with 10% a day.

Also, really thought Ross would take the Town job over Sunderland for ‘the challenge'. Appoint three drunk housewives and they could get Sunderland out of League One on their current budget. Ross chose the easy job and money over the challenge. That surprises me given the interviews that I've read.

Ross Not Willing or Able to Comment on Town
at 12:23:47

Well, if Evans has half a brain — pretty sure he does given his empire — he's scheduling the meetings with his top candidates close to each other. I don't think he talked to Ross just yet because can't have two meetings and then say; ‘well I get back to you in two weeks, alright?'

He'll talk to Ross end of the week, second meeting a week later, talk to Hurst on Monday after and announce manager on 30/31 May. Easy as pie.

Think he'll go for Ross by the way.

McGoldrick Leaving Town
at 13:13:45

Will obviously play 64 games and score 106 goals for his new club next season. I estimate about 50% of those goals to be against us. That's life. Still, can't disagree with the decision to let him go.

Moore Set for £750,000 Barnsley Switch

@ RanmoorRuffian. Agreed. Hate Mick's football but credits for Fraser, Lawrence & Celina loans. Also think Webster will make up for all of Micks salary during his years at the club.

Moore Set for £750,000 Barnsley Switch
at 09:51:17

Great business if true. Good luck to the lad but I can't ever see him become a championship striker. Had a run like Sears did in his first 6 months at Town but I just can't see it continue. Don't blame the club for cashing in on this one.

Barnsley Linked With Town Target Samuel
at 10:50:03

He played 244 minutes for Town. 201 of those minutes where in the last 3 games when everyone was in full holiday modus. That, and he came fresh off an injury. Obvious he hasn't impressed anyone but it safe to say we haven't been able to judge him properly.

Actually think this is quite positive news. Both not good enough for a side that wants to compete in the Championship at the end of the day. Simple as that. Really hope we go for quality instead of quantity this summer.

Steijn: I'm on List of Possible New Ipswich Bosses
at 09:31:17

I saw the interview and he really didn't say anything at all. Now, I like Steijn — I'm a lifelong VVV fan so know him pretty well — but if we're going to spend ‘McCarthy wages' on a new manager we could do better / take a lesser gamble. I'd go for Ron Jans who is departing FC Zwolle. He literally worked miracles — back to back cup finals — there.

Steijn is good value for money though. He's on a roughly 150k salary at VVV so we will save lot in that regard. He sure puts players in right positions and doesn't seem to have favourites in his teams which is a big step forward imo.

Steijn sure seems to appreciate creative footballers a lot more than McCarthy does. For instance; during training and friendlies against amateurs it is absolutely forbidden to play the ball back to the keeper from any position.

Anyway. I still think this deal is still highly unlikely but I sure would welcome it.
