McKenna After Another Big Night Under the Portman Road Lights
at 13:21:39

We are W3 D2 F15 A6 in the league games played directly after a loss which is a very good response. Both draws against Top 6 sides WBA and Leicester.

I know it's exciting but I am feeling sick now with every game as we are so close to getting an auto spot. Take nothing for granted in this div but a win would be massive. Hoping @bobble is right with the score prediction and top two finish

Palace Reportedly Fail in Move For McKenna
at 18:36:24

Just like with Brandon there is more to this story than is stated here. We can thank MA for keeping him here, for now at least. The reality is that if we don't go up this year, it is likely that he will have a pick of positions in the PL.

Preston North End 3-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 08:45:31

Had time to process on the way back.

The big issue for me is the trend of being poor/weak for the first 20-25mins. This has now become a bad habit and points to something being wrong in the prep and this needs to be addressed. KM stated that this was irrelevant earlier in the season and a blip but the pattern is clear to see both home and away.

Stop this and we can push on again.

Town Targeting Wimbledon Striker Al-Hamadi
at 14:09:53

Cressi - jesus you are seeking perfection which is totally unrealistic. You are going to get some wrong for various reasons but look at the ones you get right and how much they have impacted the dynamic - Hirst, Luongo, Broadhead, Clarke etc.

Trust the guys and yes they won't always get it right!

Town Targeting Wimbledon Striker Al-Hamadi
at 13:53:47

Whoever we bring in we KMcK and MA have not let us down so far so trust in the process.

It is clear that personal attributes are a big part of why we have been very successful and the collective have outperformed in this championship season compared to their cost. So a big name and wage like KMoore is unlikely to fit in with our ethos. Remember that when "judging".

Burns Nominated For Goal of the Month
at 10:36:09

The sky clip is crap and doesn't put the goal into context at all. It's like showing the last 5 seconds of the Carlos Alberto goal and whilst I am not saying it's at that level, the clip has undersold the move that came prior top it, which is a differentiator to the other candidates.

Town Closing in On Loan Signing of Blackburn Skipper Travis
at 10:43:51

Wasn’t expecting this one but totally trust KM & MA given their transfer record. My guess is that there will be 2-3 more and as these are loans a likely chunky fee for a striker, but what do I know. Love the way MA does business and a polar opposite to the clowns we used to have at CEO.

McKenna: We'll Learn From Defeat and Quickly Move On
at 19:32:59

Listen to McKenna and we are so lucky to have him. Yes, we were second best today but look at the table and our record since he has arrived. Burnley got stuffed 5-2 last season and still won in a canter - I am not saying we will do the same but getting humbled doesn’t mean you are suddenly sh*&

No one on here would have said 52 points after 23 games, also everyone would have been happy to make the playoffs which we are pretty much guaranteed to do deal so deal with it. Yes it sucks but get over it and get behind the team

Blue Action to Stage Derby Coach Welcome

This is simple, if you want to be part of it go ahead if not don’t. Same as singing TBH, you are a singer or not (very badly in my case).

Either way it doesn’t make you a better or worse supporter.

The great aspect about the club is we have a very wide demographic of supporters who support the club but gain their enjoyment for different reasons.

There is a choice so be thankful for that even though you might not agree with it :-)

Ipswich Town 3-2 Plymouth Argyle - Match Report
at 18:57:08

I thought we were fortunate today to get 3 points, however, that’s what top teams do - find a way to win. Balance off today and that was the worst game I have seen Morsy play in two years. He is so influential and important to the way we play.

Hladky MoM although Williams again lifted us when needed.

Say 44 points needed from the next 33 games pretty much guarantees a playoff spot but no reason now why we can’t finish top two. What a fantastic time to be a town fan. :-)

Brasero-Carreira Departs Tractor Girls
at 15:51:31

The situation is worse.
What most don't know is that with the 1st Team missing out on promotion, and the FA in their wisdom, have changed the rules for WSL Acamedy participation. The change means that only WSL and Championship clubs can play in the WSL acamedy league, which the young U21's more than held their own over the past 3-4 years and reguarly punched above their weight and has been a stepping stone into the 1st team. Town producing well over 75% of their 1st team via the academy route over the past 4-5 seasons.

The U21's will now have to rely on friendlies, which is no guarantee, therefore, sereval of the promising ones have already moved on.

Not to be today but immensely proud and so much to look forward to next season. Hope all get a good rest and I am sure we will see new faces next season and to those that move on we, I wish all the best.

An incredible season, especially since Feb and we can as fans look forward to the next few years with hope and relish. We are back as a club and the budgies are going in the other direction.

Player of the Year Voting Open
at 10:16:31

You are right MillsTash such a great bunch this year.
Morsy so consistent, Chappers a fox in the box and as slippery as an eel to catch, Davis the assist machine, Burgess now the rock in defence, Walton for saving two pens and the number of clean sheets and then we could have a mini comp for 2023 player of the season. Happy days and long may it continue!

For the record I vote for Davis who we can add to the recent list of full backs that have come through PR and destined to play in the PL, hopefully with us :-)

Cheltenham Town 1-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:13:20

Not to be today and in tough conditions a game we should have one but 2pts per game over Easter is promotion form.

Yes we know it was Walton's fault but let's not forget 2 penalty saves so move on from it.

Still in our hands and roll-on next Saturday.

Town Visit Cheltenham Targeting Record Ninth Win
at 13:49:40

Yes, won't be easy this but we are on a roll and I love the way the team have kept grounded and just focused on what we are doing and the next game.

Since Harry C joined on the 19th Jan (the last of the 4 Jan signings) we have scored 30 in 13 league games and conceded just 5 - like many have said this has to be one of the best mid season transfer windows in our history.

Really believe if we can win this one we will arrive at London Rd with 90 points!

Hope the 1500 travelling have a great day out and return safe and happy - like many I will glued to IFollow. COYB

Gamechanger has to be the most aptly named company on the planet!

We have the right owners, the right management, the right manager and squad that not only is good enough to go up but believe they will.

2pts per game from here in and we are up.

What a fantastic atmosphere today, proud to be blue

Promotion-Chasing Town Visit Derby Aiming to Extend Winning Run to Seven
at 11:29:51

Every game from now on it, is a pressure game and that goes for the top at 8 teams.

It's how each team deals with the pressure that will determine the outcome. I like the way KMcK has talked about embracing the pressure and playing with a smile/enjoying the games. At least we know we are in the playoffs which does help our cause (same for likely all of the top 4).

Personally, I think we will need 20/21 points to go up - therefore it isn't a must win.

We need to keep playing to our strengths and carry the mindset of the past 6-7 games for the rest of the season.

It's almost a certainty that we will drop points (same for the others) so don't expect perfection but strive for it. ALSO, don't let your last performance influence the next as each one is worth a maximum of 3.

This is very likely to go the last game of the season given that 4 are involved for 2 spots. Have this mindset and support the team. COYB

Ashton: We Will Be Relentless in Taking This Club Forward
at 09:25:36

The club, with its current structure and ethos, makes me proud to be a Town fan and it's been a long time since I was able to say that.

Connection with the fans, entrenched in the community, investment infrastructure, a way of playing as club (through the academy to the first team), great investors and regular input from them. A great young manager and a squad that reflects our ambition.

I know we are desperate to get out of this league, but mistakes will be made and nothing is a given.

Whatever happens I am behind this club.
