| News Comment | Morsy Joins Up With Egypt Squad at 20:40:23
Good to know he didn’t pick up an injury at weekend then as was a touch worried when he went down and went off! Hope he smashes it. Deserves this opportunity after the performances he’s been putting in for us ever since he joined. Would hate to lose him for AFCON but can’t begrudge a player the chance to win a major intl tournament for their country! |
| News Comment | Reading 2-2 Ipswich Town (1-3 on Penalties) - Match Report at 23:11:28
Should really have been out of sight tonight before we suddenly weren’t! Fridge does not look like the player he was, personally I’d keep baggott and get another cb in plus a striker (although delighted for Freddie today) and then thank god I don’t have to make the hard decisions with who we let go! Let’s be honest though, 9 points from 12 league points and 2 cup wins, everyone would’ve taken that before season. We also went toe to toe with a strong Leeds team and on another would’ve taken something. Roll on Saturday if you ask me. |
| News Comment | Peralta Back at Portman Road at 02:58:54
Was only a kid at the time but remember him being called six toes Peralta because of how good he was on the ball. Remember him being a shining light in a relegation season, but of course also a season where we made no fools of ourselves in Europe. |
| News Comment | Solskjær: McKenna is the Most Thorough and Analytical Coach I’ve Worked With at 23:33:39
I actually think the crazy market that is management at the moment will help us keep hold of McKenna. Mainly because he knows our owners ambition and he knows he has their full confidence. I could not see him taking a job in prem second half of a season where he knows the owners are panicking, and if he fails, he'll be gone with his name tarnished. I'm 100% he wouldn't pick any champ team ahead of us either. So I think (pray) we'll have McKenna for at least another season. The owners ambition and confidence he has in bank with them should count for a lot |
| News Comment | Donacien: Ref Said McGuinness Put in Pompey's Controversial Winner at 10:46:11
Even if he hadn't touched it surely he'd have been interfering with play! Re red card, probably a yellow Was defo a penalty though. Offside was one of worst decisions I've seen with not even the goalie playing him onside...moaning won't change anything though, at least it was in the cup, hopefully we spank them in the league in a couple of weeks to make up for it! |
| News Comment | My Best Town XI: Terry Connor at 13:24:11
Think this sums up one of main issues with our team during these years. No real width in on permanent basis. Hard workers out of position. Absolutely nothing wrong with the spine of that team. |
| News Comment | My Best Town XI: David McGoldrick at 00:07:16
That's fair enough linkboy. He did have Scott dann next to him though. Not really knocking Delaney I liked that partnership but no doubt McCauley was the leader and the brain of the two in my eyes and Delaney the pace and power. Mcauley also went into spend a fair amount of time in prem. If I had to pick one I'd go mcauley but the pros seem to go Delaney just surprises me. |
| News Comment | My Best Town XI: David McGoldrick at 16:33:12
Ahhh de vos what a player! Was thinking same about gio dos Santos. Was only a short loan but was unplayable and clearly a level above the division, but again don't think we've seen a player from that team. Surprised there's been no mcauley myself. He could've been in a couple of these teams and hasn't been picked. Think Delaney was picked ahead of him in one but Delaney was half the player for us without mcauley beside him. |
| News Comment | Lambert: We May Have to Accept Behind-Closed-Doors Games at 19:52:37
Where does he mention we'll be lifting trophies? Clearly means for those who are going to be lifting trophies... he references Liverpool in sentence after. Not that it matters in the grand scale of things. Just making the point. Said before I believe current season has to finish whenever that may be. Just my opinion, may not be possible. |
| News Comment | O'Neill: We Still Back Completing Season at 20:37:00
ITFCsince73 - you make that comment about social distancing being in place until autumn like it's a fact. You may well be right mate but literally nobody knows. I personally believe no need to rush a decision right now. You see teams in the non league divisions are already kicking off with the fa that their season has been made null and void. Try that with professional leagues and the complaints will be tenfold. Personally I think this season has to finish whenever that maybe. If that means wholesale changes to next season then so be it. But it's the fair thing to do. Let's just get rid of this goddam virus and take it from there! |
| News Comment | EFL Issue Update Following Meeting at 11:43:32
I reckon all the staff of the football league clubs are listening and caring bobble. Their jobs are just as at risk as everybody else's. I'd guess you care a little bit otherwise you wouldn't have come on to the site to see what was going on. Unless you literally came on just to ask if anybody cares. |
| News Comment | Spence: More Positives Than Negatives at 12:48:03
ArnieM Not sure why we bothered getting this new goalkeeper coach in, should have just hired you. I agree that Bart has not been his best this season but I think it may have been the element of surprise on this occasion that caught him out, I think you're being harsh. He also made a top class save second half in his defense. |
| News Comment | Shrewsbury Reveal Bids for Nolan and Nsiala at 17:31:47
TractorBoyTommy Either you're on here just to fish for bites or your heads gone. Where did Bart come from? Oh yeh Notts county Where did Waghorn come from? A very poor rangers team who valued him at £250,000 If you genuinely believe what you're saying then at least back it up with a decent argument |
| News Comment | Rangers Would Receive Waghorn Windfall at 10:21:22
I'm pretty sure Marriott admitted himself that his attitude wasn't spot on . He was only a young kid but sometimes they need a kick up the ar*e like he got to realise their attitude isn't great. It's a pity nonetheless. Surprised people are so bothered seeing as the other day there were a number moaning that lower league players won't be good enough for us this season. |
| News Comment | Scunthorpe Reject Blues Bid for Townsend at 20:54:57
Meekreech Yeh you are entitled to your opinion and so am I, and my opinion is that your opinion is built on little to no foundation and that you almost can't wait to be the one to tell everyone “I told you so” if it doesn't go well. “There are a lot of people on here who are going to have a reality check” Why? I don't see anyone saying we're going to smash play offs or getting too excited. You might be right but as we haven't seen a ball kicked yet I just don't get such pessimism either. I'd say the general mood is nervous excitement that you get at the start of any new mangers tenure. As for hurst, he didn't have experience of league 1 either till he went there and did a good job...give the man a fair chance. |
