No Moves In or Out Before Deadline But Tuanzebe Set For Trial
at 21:43:15

It’s interesting…the whole FFP situation would appear to be why we’ve taken a different route to what many were expecting…however that doesn’t necessarily tie up with what we were linked with earlier in the window. Ellis Simms for example. Surely we didn’t think we could get him for £1.5m? If we did then I’d say it was a touch naive. If not, it suggests there is money there to spend.

It's easy to say Lambert's clueless because he says he doesn't know...but do you really think he's going to tell everyone exactly what's happening? Of course not.

Season Ticket Sales Up Seven Per Cent as Early Bird Deadline Extended to Wednesday
at 15:52:57

With regards to your comment Monkey Blue "There has to be a reward for buying early. The benefit to the club in having assured levels of season ticket revenue as early as possible is a huge help in planning transfer and wage budgets. To have the same price no matter when you buy makes no sense and isn't helpful to the club at all"...if you can buy with the early bird discount and still cancel your season ticket, well, that's even worse! The price should be the price. Give people different kinds of incentives (10% off at the club shop, buy one get one free on cup games) but the price should remain the same.

Season Ticket Sales Up Seven Per Cent as Early Bird Deadline Extended to Wednesday
at 13:56:21

I agree with Taricco Fan - the price should be the price. Once the early bird discount has expired, who would ever buy a season ticket knowing that it was originally a lot cheaper? Personally I want to know who will be in charge before committing, but if the early bird discount has expired I won't pay the higher price. All the talk around the club is great....but at the moment it's just talk and I've seen good talk before with promises of transfer sales to be re-invested which never materialised.

McCarthy Not Ruling Out Summer Move for Barnsley's Watkins
at 11:21:03

Jeez guys, what's with all the negativity!? MM has been very successful as a whole in the transfer market - McGoldrick, Murphy, Sears, Mings, Berra, Bart, Webster not to mention the loans Fraser, Williams and Lawrence. Mick has his faults but he knows a good player when he sees one...and if it's on a free because he's out of contract then all the better!

Town Linked With New Move for Watkins
at 12:11:55

Mick did say that he has given a list of players to Evans and "some will cost a few quid - let's see what happens." The way I interpreted that is MM is sick and tired of getting blamed for transfer activity (or lack of) so he set the marker down early - if nothing happens it's Marcus Evans not me.

MM signed McGoldrick in a similar situation and (along with TC) transformed him. Murphy wasn't the player he was before MM & TC signed him either. They have a good record. They know the signs to look for. A manager and a coach can be a reason the player didn't work for a club and why he does work for another. Have a little faith and don't judge too quickly. You don't always need millions to sign a good player.

Ticket Promotion for Wigan Game
at 09:33:37

The fact is that the ticket prices are still far too high for the standard of football. You can go to some Premiership games for less money than ITFC charge. Until that changes attendances won't ever increase to an acceptable level.

Fulham Targeting JET
at 09:40:37

I think the main problem we're all forgetting is that JET is probably earning £15,000 a week with us. If he was on £5,000 a week, which is rumoured to be our new wage cap, then maybe MM and TC would be in a better position to take a punt on him...but at £15,000 a week it's too much to spend on a guy who occassionally comes off the bench. I like JET and think he has something about him but I can see the logic. I'm sure it's also one of the reasons for Chopra being made available...although I'm sure that's not the only reason with Chops ;-)

Early Bird Deadline Today
at 10:10:17

I know it's called "Early Bird" but for me this date is too early....especially for a club like Ipswich at the moment. The current season isn't even over. I'll support the team no matter what but I'm not even thinking about next season at the moment. We don't know what will happen in the summer with regards to transfers...or even which division we'll be in. The problem then is when I would consider buying a ticket that I won't pay more than what I know I could have got it for originally.

Your Team for Derby?

Substitutes: Loach   Smith   Mohsni   N'Daw   Wellens   Campbell   Murphy

A standard formation with a flat back four protected by Luke Hyam. Nigel Reo-Coker and Massimo Luongo in the centre of midfield. Lee Martin and Josh Carson working the wings but linking well with JET. I have put JET upfront as I feel that's his true position. I would quite like to see JET play a similar role to what Rooney does for England/Man Utd by coming deep to get the ball and pushing forward with play.

Town Targeting Kuszczak
at 12:30:41

I rate him very highly. There's a lot of pressure playing at Man Utd - especially with limited First Team options (which really puts you in the spotlight when you are playing). He would benefit from playing regulary as an established No.1.

30 is also a good age for a keeper. Look at Brad Friedel and Mark Schwarzer for examples of goalkeepers having longer careers.
