An utter embarrassment....

Gerken - Good game, couple of good blocks.

Berra - constantly beaten in the air. Not one of his best performances.

Smith - ok on the whole, but poor distribution.

Chambers - sound performance, solid.

Knudsen - more than just good with thrown-ins. Has a good brain, cool under pressure and looks to get forward. Just needs to make the tackle a little earlier.

Fraser - great goal, worked hard.

Skuse - good performance, but he and Douglas are too similar.

Douglas - Great second half. Won everything in the midfield battle.

Pitman - should have swapped with Didz. Won every header/flick on when he did.

Didz - he is not a target man, so why play him there?

Sears - my man of the match.

Niles - should gave started. We were totally overrun in the first half.

Bart - excellent.
Parr - very good, excellent workrate and important tackles made.
Mings - slow. Not his best game today.
Smith - average at best. Need Berra back.
Chambers - solid, good display.
Ando - did ok.
Tabb - played bit too deep, but got better as game went on. Made some good tackles.
Skuse - waste of space. Didnt touch the ball for first 20 minutes. Too deep, too inneffective.
S.Hunt - did well, good deliveries.
Didz - worked hard.
Murphy - poorest game for a while. Normally wins everything in the air, but not today. Poor first touch.
N.Hunt - the messiah!
C. Sammon - wasted a superb chance. There surely are better loan strikers out there?

Great team performance, great atmosphere. The result flattered Wolves, who I felt were quite poor for a side in such great form. We shut them down very quickly with Hunt, Hyam, Tabb and Bru all working their socks off. Solid defence once again, I really think Berra is such a key player for us. I'm not sure about Bart. I really like the fact he comes out more than Gerks, but I did feel he could have seen that cross/shot better. Murphy and McGoldrick were again very good for different reasons.

Bart - after a nervy start thought he did ok, although didn't have much to do.
Mings - bit of a lazy performance to be honest considering he had a week off. Needs to injected little more urgency. Lost his man on a number of occasions.
Chambers - solid performance. Better than last week.
Berra - excellent.
Smith - lost out to a few headers in the first half, but was very good in the 2nd.
Hyam - thought was very good. Tireless energy all game. We are a poorer side without him.
Skuse - solid enough, but so predictable. Surely our other (many) midfielders can offer something extra?
Bishop - excellent (mom). Not just his surging runs but his tackling was spot on all afternoon.
Hunt - good performance, ran his socks off.
Didz - solid. Good touches and worked hard. Wish he would stay up though as he makes me nervous when 'helping out' at the back.
Murphy - quiet game.

Ando - good when he came on. Nice touches and a couple of good runs/crosses.
Sammon - what a miss!
Tabb - won a header, think that was it.

Ref - gave everything to Blackpool as expected.
ITFC fans - great support.
BFC fans - 'football in a library'.

Gerken didn't have much to do all game. Our defence looked solid enough throughout, although Pogrebnyak was a handful for them. Mings was fairly comfortable in his defending role and made some good runs, but without an end product. The biggest factor why we got nothing from the game was our midfield. Played too deep again, hardly any passes forward, few crosses, gave the ball away, out-muscled, out-thought. I had hoped we had turned a corner against Fulham with Hyam and Skuse, but alas no. Hewitt looked knackered, let's put it that way. Tabb did ok again, at least he did manage to cross the ball a few times. McG and Murph we feeding off scraps most of the game, although to be fair to Reading they had done their homework on both. Didz looked very unfit though and was out-paced when played in late in the second half. Overall disappointed, but it's only the second game and we have 3 points. Onward to Brum and scum, but it felt like an opportunity missed today as Reading hardly had a shot and were missing key players.

Played ok first half but totally allowed Leicester off the hook.

Tabb was awful, Skuse couldn't hit a pass forward if his life depended on it. We have absolutely no creativity going forward, which is why McGoldrick excels in a 4-3-3 as he is the only player who attacks.

After going to Blackpool this was a big let down. We just can't seem to do it against the big boys. And by the way Leicester were nothing special.

First half very frustrating. Plenty of possession but in the final third created nothing. Having said that Hyam actually played well and looked confident on the ball. Blackpool resorted to long punts up the pitch at every opportunity. Mings looked pretty good at left back, although needs to be careful getting caught too far forward. Second half the 433 totally changed the game. Taylor was excellent, Dids was rejuvenated and even Nouble looked the part. One negative was that Mings is no centre back and looked out of his depth in that position. However what a fantastic game. Myself and my 9 year old are ecstatic, and you can't put a price on that! Forgot to say Brighton were absolutely pants. Deserved nothing, even though the ref gave them everything for most of the match.

Gerken - not a lot to do today. Just wish he would be more commanding in the box.

Smith, Berra, Chambo, Cresswell - all solid, excellent.

Tunni - lively first half, quiet second.

Skuse - excellent tackles, commanding performance.

Hyam - huffed and puffed, gave the ball away a few times and did not know what to do going forward. Ffs have a shot once in a while!

Anderson - quiet game. Most of the play came from the left.

Murphy - ok first half, poor workrate second. Looked knackered!

Dids - outstanding.

Edwards - though he was excellent when he came on. Clearly pushing for a start.

Nouble - quick. That's about it. At least he managed to win a header!

Wordy - not enough time to make an impression.

Good overall team effort. COYB.
