Kiwomya: All Of a Sudden Football's On the Back Pages
at 11:05:46

What a fantastic story. Kiwomya was a great player and is a really humble and grounded lad. It’s great to see that he’s giving back his vast knowledge and experience to the BVI . I could think of worse places to wake up in the morning. Good luck for the future CK

Ipswich Town 1-1 Middlesbrough - Match Report
at 18:57:34

Those who have any knowledge of winning a league or trophy in sport will know only too well that it’s very tough to get over the line which is why the top three are struggling to win. Ipswich played well today and should’ve won the game but Boro are a very good side and but for two unbelievable saves from Hladky they might have snatched a win. Another point gained on our rivals and a welcome break before Hull and Coventry who may both be out of playoff chances.
We are in the box seat and fans should stick by the team . Expectations are high but we have to be realistic.

McKenna: Boro Know They Probably Need to Win All Their Games
at 10:40:56

Looking forward to another exciting game but make no mistake this will be another tense nervous performance I’m sure against very good opponents. It’s so difficult for players to play with freedom now that the pressure is cranked up. Fans have to play their part and get behind the team. I’m hoping that Hutchinson isn’t rested as suggested as he is exactly the type of player needed in these situations albeit he’s inexperienced, but he has exceptional quality and makes things happen. Hladky: Contract is Not Yet Signed But I Want to Stay Here
at 19:35:47

Hladky is a special keeper well capable of playing in the PL because he’s so comfortable with his feet. He has made so bad mistakes but keepers playing this way will always get caught out on occasions. Overall he has been one of our top performers and has made some incredible saves this season. The best since Bart was in town and he was a more conventional style keeper but an excellent shot stopper.
Walton I’m sure will find another club and this will allow Slicker more opportunities for game time as he has demonstrated already that he is a capable keeper but he’s still young.

Portman Road to Stage County Cup Finals
at 15:28:12

Whilst every cup final is important for the teams and fans involved in it, it’s disappointing that the top amateur cup namely Suffolk Premier Cup is being played at another Isthmian league ground which doesn’t quite have the appeal of playing on the hallowed turf at PR.

Downes: Fans Don't Know the Full Story of Town Exit
at 19:20:54

Football fans who support Ipswich will appreciate that Downes is a quality player who ran the show in the first half for Southampton. He is a quicker younger Morsy in the making who was young and naïve and probably I’ll advised when he left. Clown Cook wanted his team and Downes is likely to have said his bit to the Scouser.
I wouldn’t lower myself to boo a player who was arguably one of our best if not the best player at that time

McKenna: We'll Have to See How Kieffer is Over the Next Few Days
at 19:17:19

Impact injury he’ll be fine I’d imagine albeit his back was going into spasms. This should settle down quickly so that he starts against the Carrots On Saturday. Our toughest game so far this season not because of the quality of the opposition but because of expectations. This caused us problems at PR and the fans anxiety transmits to the players. Norwich still unbeaten at home so I’d take a point now.

Ipswich Town 3-2 Southampton - Match Report
at 21:18:47

Fantastic game of football to watch. Southampton were superior in every department until KMK made his substitutions. We clawed our way back and Al-Hamadi who was excellent when introduced struck the post and believe came flooding back to the players. We have beaten a really top team today and we defended extremely well in the second half with Wolfie and Burgess both saving goal scoring opportunities. Big shout out again for our number 1 Hladky who pulled off two superb saves and must be a priority signing asap as his contract is up..
Amazing entertainment. Big performance will be needed at Carrot Road on Saturday

No Change to Town Kit Despite Castore Acquiring Umbro Rights
at 15:16:42

Many clubs have been complaining about players sweating excessively in Castore kits. Umbro have been decent but maybe a return to Adidas is a realignment with our success in the late 70’s early 80’s. Pioneer as a sponsor ?. Seriously Ed Sheeran deserves to be on our shirts. I’d love him to write a Town anthem for when the teams come out.
The future is bright regardless of shirt manufacturer

Hutchinson: I Turned Down England and Jamaica Calls to Concentrate on Town
at 11:17:11

Hutchinson epitomises a player with PL quality who is hungry for success. The lad has bags of pace and two good feet but his tenacity and work rate is phenomenal. Another fantastic trait he possesses is his encouragement to other players. For a young lad even though the game was already won he was shouting out words of encouragement. He is a cut above with his quality and awareness and his assist for Al-Hamadi was out of the top drawer.
If we reach the promised land he will cost big money, but he’d be a special number 10 and a competent winger.

Ipswich Town 6-0 Sheffield Wednesday - Match Report
at 20:30:29

What a brilliant performance against a poor Wednesday side, Omari set the tone from the kick off winning back possession on several occasions. It was no surprise when he opened the scoring with a clever touch and finish. Hladky made two key saves prior to town taking the lead which proved to be so important. Morsy and Mass both excellent today in the centre of the park. Shame that Burns picked up a Hammy as he will now miss several games. Fantastic entertainment today but Omari Hutchinson was a cut above the rest in both his work on and off the ball and his threat in the final third. His assist for Al-Hamadi was sublime.

Cardiff City 2-1 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 18:31:34

We were in total control away to a difficult side who caused us problems at PR then Moore scored a cracker to put us in a very strong position to win the game but we showed nervousness and sat deep. We tried to defend the single goal advantage and once again Wolfie is being mentioned in many posts but Burgess failed to clear for the first and totally missed his header for the second. Burgess has to shoulder responsibility and defend. Clarke made a fantastic block just prior to the equaliser. We have to be better if we want promotion. Burns apart from a brilliant cross early in the game looked off the pace and wasn’t tracking back and left Clarke exposed too often. Hutchinson showed both the defensive and offensive sides of that role. McKenna has a big job to lift the lads but we have a week to improve before Sheff Weds. Stay positive it’s a minor blip.

Plymouth Argyle 0-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 17:40:36

Plymouth were impressive at PR earlier in the season but today we were always in total control. First half or passing in the final third was a little sloppy and we failed to utilise Omari Hutchinson to good effect. Second half we found our rhythm and Omari and Leif became more prominent. It was a case of when we scored not if and Chaplin got the ball rolling with a fortuitous deflected goal. Moore added a superb second goal. A clean sheet and Tuanzebe is now looking match fit and showing his obvious quality. Fantastic away win which has apparently gone unnoticed in the media. I wonder why. Bring on Bristol and let’s keep building the momentum

Ipswich Town 4-3 Rotherham United - Match Report
at 12:21:00

What a fantastic three points against a team who made life extremely difficult for us in the second half. Rotherham were outplayed and out scored in the first half but they changed formation second half and our defensive unit to a man capitulated. There wasn’t a defender in the team who did well second half, centre backs couldn’t win a header and full backs looked devoid of confidence. Hladky had a poor game and his decision making was erratic.
We have to forget the performance and hone in on the win as that’s the only statistic that matters. Birmingham will be a different game but they have found form since Mogga took charge. Hopefully Venus still loves the town.

Mowbray to Step Away From Birmingham to Undergo Medical Treatment
at 13:36:40

Mowbray a great leader and a great man. He was a legend at Ipswich and has proved himself to be an excellent manager of teams and players as individuals. He has rightly earned much respect within the game as demonstrated by the Sunderland fans saddened by his departure. I’m sure Town fans with be signing his name on Saturday. Speedy recovery Mogga.

Swansea City 1-2 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 10:33:17

Well earned away win and inspirational management decisions by McKenna in resting Broadhead and Chaplin recently and now both look to have found their confidence again. Hutchinson Hladky and Clarke were impressive.
Those saying that the team looks defensively stronger with Burgess in have to eat some humble pie as he was at fault for their goal .
Let’s keep this momentum building. Maybe a change in midfield Tuesday with Travis in for Mass ?

Quartet in Team of the Week
at 19:49:28

MK1 he was our worst performer poor distribution and caught in possession. Even McKenna highlighted the fact that he was short due to lack of training.
Broadhead and Hutchinson have to be is this meaningless team of the week if it’s performance based.

Millwall 0-4 Ipswich Town - Match Report
at 08:03:26

An excellent performance and a much needed confidence boost. Hutchinson and Broadhead outstanding. Good to keep a clean sheet as well with Clarke having an excellent game at the back. Burgess again getting the plaudits but his distribution was poor and he was twice caught in possession which nearly lead to goals. He was clearly off the pace and McKenna alluded to this in his post match interview.
We go again Saturday against another poor side.
