| News Comment | Kenlock: I Want to Play as Much as I Can at 16:18:40
A player who probably benefits from the fact there are no fans! He never really excelled like he has done recently - but fans were quick to moan and groan at him when things weren't going well. Which no doubt harmed his confidence and as a result his performances. He's doing well and I hope it continues. Proving me and many others wrong! |
| News Comment | Garbutt Loan Signing Confirmed at 16:56:42
His contract at Everton expires at the end of the season - so it's almost as if he is not a loanee |
| News Comment | No New Injuries But Changes Possible at 15:41:25
Reading away also confirmed to me that Tommy Smith is not a footballer.......... he's a good defender but his touch and ball skills are pathetic for a professional footballer. Want to see more of Webster please. |
| News Comment | No New Injuries But Changes Possible at 15:06:09
The problem is we cant play the way we are without Murphy, you cant punt balls up to Pitman. He is best when he runs on to a through ball, not a long hopeful one.And with the ball to his feet not to his head. A team of more cultured midfielders is needed to get the best out of him |
| News Comment | Needham Market's Morphew to Train With Town at 13:03:59
Used to play in a Sunday league team with him 4 years ago, looked class then. He can play anywhere to be honest, seen him play across the defense and midfield and didn't look out of place once. Hope it goes well for him. |
| News Comment | Berra: Martin Amongst Best in Division at 11:44:59
@BackTheBlues Ithough Berra was immense last season, and looks just as solid this one in my opinion, especially in recent games. We are a little more open this season, due to a slighly different style of play, which has made the deffence a little more suspect. But i think he is not the one looking dodgy. Tommy i still feel is the week link, and would prefer Chambers alongside Berra. I do like Tommy, but he always has me feeling on edge whenever the ball is played to him. He is a good defender and sometimes has his dodgy moments, especially vs Middlesborough, but still isn't what a called a "footballer". He isn't comfortable with the ball when its played to him, and that will always make me nervous. |
| News Comment | Berra: Martin Amongst Best in Division at 08:17:16
But Berra is one of the best defenders in this league. . . . . . . . I mean seriously, i cant remember the lost time he lost a header. He's the best defender I've seen at Ipswich in a long time. But against the MK Dons, he was doing a lot of talking to Knudsen, and looked like he was shouting at him a lot and getting frustrated with him. Knudsen still needs some work to do in his defensive game, but there's no better defender to learn from than Christophe. |
| News Comment | Smith: We Looked More Like a Premier League Side at 23:17:16
Between Lungo, Martin and JET they played some lovely football. Lungo especially looks a very tidy player indeed. Lets hope we play like that in league games instead of being gutless and hoofing it long, you did it today boys so you have confidence in your own ability. |
| News Comment | Town Announce Squad Numbers at 11:33:52
Well Friend has been saved no. 6 and Davies no. 8 obviously . . . . . . . . . . . . . |
| News Comment | Jewell: Game Boring But Happy With Week's Work at 21:54:33
"The way they play, it was like keep-ball" Maybe us English could learn a bit from the Dutch eh Paul??? As Brendan Rodgers says, pre season shouldnt just be about running about, everything should be done with a ball at your feet. Thats how you get could technically, the ball should constantly be glued too the feet like the Spainish, Dutch, Germans and Italians do. That way we can play a bit of keep ball and try and build from the back instead of launching the ball up the field at every opportunity. |
| News Comment | Jewell Remaining Patient at 10:13:47
Bluey123 - Leeds are in the same position as us, Warnock says he needs a clearout and 5 new players, and they have brought only the one player, so . . . . . . . . . |
| News Comment | Jewell Remaining Patient at 09:41:17
Remember people, we have signed as many players as any other of our championship rivals so far (albeit 1). So don't go on about how Clegg's mucked up. |
| News Comment | Leadbitter's Boro Move Confirmed at 17:44:00
Recon he'll be good for Boro. He's a player who needs quality around him, like Barry and Parker. Pitty really. |
| News Comment | Reading Recall Keeper McCarthy at 16:53:37
Always thought ALB was decent enough, i have no worries knowing he will be in goal for the rest of the season. |
