At least Marcus Evans kept us solvent. We moan about him a lot but there are much worse owners than he was.

New Cobbold stand photos
at 22:58 12 Mar 2024

I have heard that they may re-roof the west stand and connect it to the Sir Bobby and Sir Alf stands. If that is so and the new main stand looks like that in would be a little like a smaller Anfield. That would be amazing. The Capacity looks like it could be in the high 30 thousands.

Robin Hood took from the rich to feed the poor.

Yes but there are many people like me. I am a young older person and only two of the 15 are younger than me. One man turns 65 in April and they ask/tell him he must work out a long term plan, he retires in 13 months. If they want to save money scrap these schemes. The Government has a 20% loss rate funding them.

Utter tripe. I am out of work. I am well qualified, have good general experience and a good record. I served 22 years in The Army and left with the rank of Warrant Officer class 2 (Sergeant Major). I am 52 and have applied for many jobs even those below my level so to speak. I have to go to a partronising 5 hour group meeting in Derby once a week which is 14 miles away. They have a similar meeting in Nottingham which is only 8 miles away but as I live in Derbyshire I have to go to Derby. There have been no buses since the pandemic and I cannot afford to insure my car so I have to ask friends or family to take me. They tell me that employers do not descriminate against older people. When I pointed out to my 19 year old advisor that out of the 30 or so employees at the centre not one looked over 40 she just shruged it off. If you'e over 50 they don't want to know. Tell me, will cutting National Insurance benefit you? With respect attitudes like yours make me seeth.

Far worse than conceding the late equaliser
at 02:06 10 Mar 2024

With respect to Woolfenden and Burgess Rodon and Ampadu are a class above Woolfy and two above Burgess. I am in no way slating our players as they do their best but Wolfy is an average to above average Championship defender and Burgess is a good League One Defender. Who in our non loan squad is genuine Championship class? Davis, Morsy, Chapers and Tuanzabe are good Championship standard. Broadhead, Woolfenden and Luongo are lesser Championship standard and Clarke/Hirst are on the verge. Humphreys will be but he has a long way to go. The rest are League One standard. That is not criticism it's at least IMO fact.

Davis reminds me of Alexander-Arnold.
at 00:07 10 Mar 2024

Both are great players at their level but neither are great defenders. Davis is more of a wing-back and could also be good as a wide midfielder whilst TAA is more of a deep lying playmaker. The problem is we don't have the players that suit a 5 at the back formation.

Would you take Downes back on loan?
at 17:22 9 Mar 2024

I liked Cook which cannot be said for his two predecessors, especially Lambert. He is a good manager who was a little out of his depth. I am glad he is doing well at Chesterfield. Amando Dobra is his boy and it's good to see him also doing well. I did not dislike Hurst as a man, he was just well out of his depth. Lambert though, rumours of him berating players, telling them he was much better than they could never be made him a total D-Head. Wayne Rooney was light years better than Lambert but he was loved by his players at Derby.

It seems he will not make the grade at West Ham. Out of all the young high potential kids we had 5 or 6 years ago he has progressed the furthest with the exception of loanees Carter-Vickers and Chalobah. If we are not promoted I think he would be great on loan. If we do get promoted Chalobah would be an excellent loan.

A week ago Jurgen klopp described The Championship as "Insane."
at 19:20 7 Mar 2024

He wasn't wrong. Hull who are in a play off place are closer in points to the relegation zone than they are to the automatic promotion places. It is not inconceivable that Sunderland or Boro could be in The Premier League, The Championship or League One next season. In terms of points mid-table is West Brom in 5th down to Cardiff in 10th. I don't remember anything like it.

UK descending into mob rule, PM warns police
at 22:22 28 Feb 2024

When the previous PM of The United Kingdom attends a CPAC (A hard right US group) and does not pull up Steve Bannon when he called Tommy Morrison "A Hero" and Braverman also refuses to codemn him suggests to me that senior conservatives are pro mob rule. Truss also clapped a delegate when he stood up and pledged an "End to Democracy." As Sunak and other Tories have stood by Truss than they not only support the mob they are the mob.

Shamima Begum loses appeal
at 16:10 25 Feb 2024

Putting aside how dangerous or radicalised she may or may not be she has been made an example of by The Government. Many who have been more complicit have been re-patriated and gone through the justice system. The Government has sent out a message saying "If we can do this to a 15 year old child we can do this to you!" But they have not done this to the "you"as most who have left for similar reasons after Begum and wished to return have been allowed to do so. There seems to a war on children brewing over the last few years like children being dealt with more harshly by the courts and receiving longer sentences than adults for the same offences. There seem to be posters here who agree with this sentiment.

If other NATO countries do not pay 3% GDP if he becomes president again not only will he not help defend them he will encourage and support Russia in attacking them. We currently pay about 2.4%. If Russia attacks us will he provide them with assistance in doing so? What a class A Richardhead and masturbater he is.
