Early kick off a bit of a problem for those in City Centre. However, the Blue Bell is good. Its in the High Street directly opposite the Castle main gates. Opens at 10am apparently. A favourite of mine is the City Arms, off Westgate St near the Principality Stadium - but it doesn't appear to open until 12. However, a definite for a pint after the match if you're staying. There's the Tiny Rebel opposite as well. I guess any of the Spoons will be open early ie the Great Western near the Station on the Gatekeeper in Westgate St. Chapter in Canton was mentioned earlier - that's definitely safe - its the bar of the Arts Centre although you'll need to check opening times |

Yes loads left this morning. Got mine as it's my home game! Interested to see that there are loads of standing tickets available but the all seated block is nearly sold out. Obviously lots of old fogeys with bad backs in that section. Hope Cardiff enforce it - been a problem for me this season with all our fans standing. Probably not a popular opinion this! |

I was at the Civic College 74-76 so pretty certain they didn't play there in 75. Was at the Sutherland Brothers gig you mentioned. Manor Ballroom possibly - have good memories of Groundhogs playing at that time. |

No one's mentioned any Chantry teachers from the early 70's I see! Can't say I found any particularly inspiring personally although I mainly found school life a terrifying experience. Honourable mentions to the female art teacher who let us play prog rock during lessons and the scary Mr Amos who did a good job of teaching me Maths. Most terrifying was Nelson the PE teacher - enough said. |

Same issue. My (ex) wife couldn't understand a word my Dad said. |

I still use the term slither and tbh hadn't realised it wasn't in common parlance! |

A thread about what it was like before the NHS reminded me of another phrase my Father used. When ill he would say he was "on the club" presumably referring to something pre NHS. Anyone else recall this being said? |

Geoff Hurst served me a pint in the Sheet Anchor near Newcastle Under Lyme once. We didn't speak. I resisted the temptation to say "it never crossed the line" although I suspect he might had heard it before |
